On a Classification of Irreducible Almost Commutative Geometries III

open access: yes, 2005
We extend a classification of irreducible, almost commutative geometries whose spectral action is dynamically non-degenerate to internal algebras that have four simple summands.Comment: 10 pages LaTeX, 2 ...

Navigating Integration in Mixed‐Methods: A Practical Guide for Novice Nursing Researchers

open access: yesResearch in Nursing &Health, Volume 49, Issue 2, Page 193-201, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Mixed‐methods research is increasingly used in healthcare to understand complex issues, yet integration of qualitative and quantitative findings remains challenging, particularly for novice researchers. This paper provides a practical guide for nursing researchers to integrate survey and interview data effectively.

Topological superfluid in a fermionic bilayer optical lattice

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, a topological superfluid phase with Chern number C=1 possessing gapless edge states and non-Abelian anyons is designed in a C=1 topological insulator proximity to an s-wave superfluid on an optical lattice with the effective gauge field ...

Once more on the Witten index of 3d supersymmetric YM-CS theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The problem of counting the vacuum states in the supersymmetric 3d Yang-Mills-Chern-Simons theory is reconsidered. We resolve the controversy between its original calculation by Witten at large volumes and the calculation based on the evaluation of the ...

Cinnamic‐Hydroxamic‐Acid Derivatives Exhibit Antibiotic, Anti‐Biofilm, and Supercoiling Relaxation Properties by Targeting Bacterial Nucleoid‐Associated Protein HU

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
Cinnamic‐hydroxamic‐acid derivatives (CHADs) are identified as novel inhibitors of the bacterial nucleoid‐associated protein HU, exhibiting potent antibacterial, anti‐biofilm (both inhibition and eradication), and DNA relaxation (anti‐supercoiling) activities. Moreover, CHADs demonstrate strong synergistic effects with multiple antibiotics.

Asymmetric effects of climate policy uncertainty and energy prices on bitcoin prices

open access: yesInnovation and Green Development, 2023
This paper investigates the asymmetric effects of climate policy uncertainty (CPU) and the global price of energy index (GPEI) on Bitcoin prices. It applies the nonlinear ARDL method and the Granger causality test to examine how changes in climate policy

The Role of DEI and Meaningful Work in the Relationship Between CSR and Organizational Commitment

open access: yesBusiness Strategy &Development, Volume 9, Issue 1, March 2026.
ABSTRACT The aim of this paper is to determine whether corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices have a positive effect on employees' organizational commitment, considering diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as a mediating variable and meaningful work as a moderating variable in this relationship.

Three-nucleon force at large distances: Insights from chiral effective field theory and the large-N_c expansion

open access: yes, 2014
We confirm the claim of Ref. [D.R. Phillips, C. Schat, Phys. Rev. C88 (2013) 3, 034002] that 20 operators are sufficient to represent the most general local isospin-invariant three-nucleon force and derive explicit relations between the two sets of ...

Solution of the Skyrme-Hartree-Fock equations in the Cartesian deformed harmonic oscillator basis. (I) The method [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We describe a method of solving the nuclear Skyrme-Hartree-Fock problem by using a deformed Cartesian harmonic oscillator basis. The complete list of expressions required to calculate local densities, total energy, and self-consistent fields is presented,

Opposite chromosome constitutions due to a familial translocation t(1;21)(q43;q22) in 2 cousins with development delay and congenital anomalies

open access: yesMedicine, 2017
Chromosomal rearrangements are the major cause of multiple congenital abnormalities and intellectual disability. We report 2 first cousins with unbalanced chromosomal aberrations of chromosomes 1 and 21, resulting from balanced familial translocation.
