Bistable states of quantum dot array junctions for high-density memory
We demonstrate that two-dimensional (2D) arrays of coupled quantum dots (QDs) with six-fold degenerate p orbitals can display bistable states, suitable for application in high-density memory device with low power consumption.

An Improved Binary Quadratic Discriminant Analysis Classifier by Using Robust Regularization
In many real classification problems where a limited number of training samples is available, the linear classifiers based on discriminant analysis are unable to deliver accurate results.

Objective. The main goal of this work is to develop a model for multi-sensor signals such as MEG or EEG signals, that accounts for the inter-trial variability, suitable for corresponding binary classification problems. An important constraint is that the

A Practical Quality Control Method for Saponins Without UV Absorption by UPLC-QDA
Saponins are a class of important active ingredients. Analysis of saponin-containing herbal medicines is a major challenge for the quality control of medicinal herbs in companies.

QDA: A Query-Driven Approach to Entity Resolution
This paper addresses the problem of query-aware data cleaning in the context of a user query. In particular, we develop a novel Query-Driven Approach ( ${\tt QDA}$ ) that systematically exploits the semantics of the predicates in ${\tt SQL}$ -like selection queries to reduce the data cleaning overhead. The objective of ${\tt QDA}$

This paper outlines my concerns with Qualitative Data Analysis’ (QDA)numerous remodelings of Grounded Theory (GT) and the subsequent eroding impact. I cite several examples of the erosion and summarize essential elements of classic GT methodology.

Effects of Disorder on Electron Transport in Arrays of Quantum Dots [PDF]
We investigate the zero-temperature transport of electrons in a model of quantum dot arrays with a disordered background potential. One effect of the disorder is that conduction through the array is possible only for voltages across the array that exceed

We evaluate the phase-coherent transport of electrons along linear structures of varying length, which are made from two types of potential wells set in either a periodic or a Fibonacci quasi-periodic sequence.

Computer-Aided Qualitative Data Analysis with Word
Despite some fragmentary references in the literature about qualitative methods, it is fairly unknown that Word can be successfully used for computer-aided Qualitative Data Analyses (QDA).
