Programmatic impact of QuantiFERON-TB Gold In-Tube implementation on latent tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment in a public health clinic. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
QuantiFERON-TB Gold In-Tube (QFT-GIT) is considered an alternative to the tuberculin skin test (TST) for the diagnosis of tuberculosis (TB) infection, but the programmatic impact of QFT-GIT implementation is largely unknown. In March, 2010, the Baltimore

An anthology of non-local QFT and QFT on non-commutative spacetime [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Physics, 2005
Ever since the appearance of renormalization theory there have been several differently motivated attempts at non-localized (in the sense of not generated by point-like fields) relativistic particle theories, the most recent one being at QFT on non-commutative Minkowski spacetime.

First clinical evaluation of the QIAreachTM QuantiFERON-TB for tuberculosis infection and active pulmonary disease

open access: yesPulmonology, 2022
Objective: 1) to compare the QIAreachTM QuantiFERON-TB (QIAreach QFT) vs. QuantiFERON®-TB Gold Plus assay (QFT-Plus) to detect tuberculosis (TB) infection; 2) to evaluate diagnostic sensitivity of QIAreach QFT using active TB as surrogate for TB ...

Observational study of QuantiFERON®-TB gold in-tube assay in tuberculosis contacts in a low incidence area. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
BACKGROUND: QuantiFERON®-TB Gold in-Tube (QFT) assay is a recently developed test to assess latent tuberculosis infection in contagious tuberculosis (TB) contact subjects.

Cytokine Patterns in Tuberculosis Infection; IL-1ra, IL-2 and IP-10 Differentiate Borderline QuantiFERON-TB Samples from Uninfected Controls. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
Interferon gamma release assays (IGRAs) do not discriminate between active tuberculosis (TB) and latent TB infection (LTBI), which limit their use in TB endemic areas.

AdS2 holography and effective QFT

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Abstract We discuss AdS2 quantum gravity from an unconventional perspective that emphasizes bulk geometry. In our approach, AdS2 has no boundary, there are no divergences that require renormalization, and the dilaton of JT-gravity can be omitted altogether. The result is the standard Schwarzian theory.

Exact finite volume expectation values of Ψ ¯ Ψ $$ \overline{\varPsi}\varPsi $$ in the massive Thirring model from light-cone lattice correlators

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
In this paper, using the light-cone lattice regularization, we compute the finite volume expectation values of the composite operator Ψ ¯ Ψ $$ \overline{\varPsi}\varPsi $$ between pure fermion states in the Massive Thirring Model.

Comparison of the change in QuantiFERON-TB Gold Plus and QuantiFERON-TB Gold In-Tube results after preventive therapy for latent tuberculosis infection.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2020
BackgroundWe investigated changes in the interferon-γ levels before and after treatment of latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) using QuantiFERON-TB Gold Plus (QFT-Plus) and QuantiFERON-TB Gold In-Tube (QFT-GIT) assays.
