Automated Extraction of Multicomponent Alloy Data Using Large Language Models for Sustainable Design

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A large language model (LLM) based pipeline is developed to automatically extract a comprehensive and accurate multicomponent alloy database from literature corpus. The extracted dataset is integrated with sustainability indicators to identify potential alloys that outperform existing industrial benchmark materials in terms of both performance and ...

Impact of Quorum Sensing on the Virulence and Survival Traits of Burkholderia plantarii

open access: yesPlants
Quorum sensing (QS) is a mechanism by which bacteria detect and respond to cell density, regulating collective behaviors. Burkholderia plantarii, the causal agent of rice seedling blight, employs the LuxIR-type QS system, common among Gram-negative ...

New insight into bacterial social communication in natural host: Evidence for interplay of heterogeneous and unison quorum response.

open access: yesPLoS Genetics, 2019
Many microbes exhibit quorum sensing (QS) to cooperate, share and perform a social task in unison. Recent studies have shown the emergence of reversible phenotypic heterogeneity in the QS-responding pathogenic microbial population under laboratory ...

Wavelength‐Dependent Photobiomodulation Regulates Macrophage Polarization via Mitochondrial Dynamics and Metabolic Reprogramming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Light wavelength encodes distinct macrophage fates through mitochondrial and metabolic remodeling. Red 625 nm irradiation induces glycolysis, mitochondrial fission, and M1 polarization, whereas near‐infrared 850 nm irradiation promotes fatty acid oxidation, mitochondrial fusion, and M2 polarization.

Vapor‐Phase Grain‐Boundary Anchoring Enables Molecular Toughening and Record Bending Endurance in Pilot‐Scale Roll‐to‐Roll‐Printed Flexible Perovskite Modules

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A vapor‐phase molecular toughening strategy is developed for pilot‐scale roll‐to‐roll (R2R) ‐compatible fabrication of flexible perovskite solar modules. Thiol vapor selectively regulates crystallization and anchors at grain boundaries, reducing defects while enhancing mechanical resilience.

Quorum Sensing: Not Just a Bridge Between Bacteria

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen
The study of quorum sensing (QS) has gained critical importance, offering insights into bacterial and microorganism communication. QS, regulated by autoinducers, synchronizes collective bacterial behaviors across diverse chemical signals and target genes.

A Chemically Defined Four‐Component Self‐Adjuvanting Tn Vaccine Activating Mincle, FcγR, and CD206 for Enhanced Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A fully synthetic four‐component vaccine has been developed combining Tn antigen, vizantin (Mincle agonist), rhamnose (antibody recruitment), and mannose (CD206 targeting). By synergistically activating Mincle, FcγR, and CD206 pathways, it elicits strong IgG switching and cytotoxic T‐cells, significantly inhibiting tumors in mice.

Collaboration between a temperate phage and Pseudomonas aeruginosa quorum sensing constrains social cheats

open access: yesmBio
Pseudomonas aeruginosa uses quorum sensing (QS) to coordinate cooperative behaviors. In the model strain PAO1, QS activates dozens of genes, including those for cyanide production and cyanide resistance.
