Self‐Cooling Molecular Spin Qudits

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A material made of [GdEr] molecular dimers can encode a qudit and perform as a magnetic refrigerant. Microwave resonant pulses coherently manipulate its 16 spin states, while direct demagnetization measurements cool the material and a device down to temperatures below 1 K.

Candida antarctica lipase-catalyzed synthesis and characterization of novel acrylic teroligomers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The synthesis of three novel low molecular weight acrylic terpolymers, containing at random sequences of ethyl acrylate, acrylic acid and N-(2-hydroxyethyl)acrylamide, catalyzed by Candida antarctica lipase was successfully conducted in organic media ...

A Cu‐Based Near‐IR Active MOF with an Ion‐Pair Guest Exhibiting Versatile and Selective Gas‐Solid Reactivity

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The new Cu‐containing MOF (Me2NH2)(CuICl2)@[Cu4(INA)4Cl2O]·1.5dmf (3) contains a cation and an anion as guests and shows UV‐near‐mid‐IR absorption and near‐IR emission. MOF 3 shows gas‐solid reactivity in the presence of NH3 and HCOOH to yield two new 3D MOF.

Spatially Resolved Monitoring of Drying of Hierarchical Porous Organic Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Evaporation kinetics of water confined in hierarchal polymeric porous media is studied by low field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). Systems synthesized with various degrees of cross-linker density render networks with similar pore sizes but different ...

A Renal Clearable Probe for In Vivo Monoamine Oxidase (MAO) Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A renal‐clearable Cy7‐based fluorogenic probe enables rapid and non‐invasive detection of monoamine oxidase (MAO) activity in vivo. Upon MAO‐mediated activation, the fluorescent product is efficiently excreted in urine, allowing direct quantification of enzyme overexpression.

Electrochemical heteroarylation and amidation of alkanes using activated glassy carbon electrodes without mediators

open access: yesCommunications Chemistry
The functionalization of challenging unactivated C(sp 3)–H bonds was achieved electrocatalytically via hydrogen atom transfer and without mediators. This was possible through the sole activation of the surface of the Glassy Carbon Electrode (GCE) in an ...

Chiral Imidazolium Prolinate Salts as Efficient Synzymatic Organocatalysts for the Asymmetric Aldol Reaction

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
Chiral imidazolium l-prolinate salts, providing a complex network of supramolecular interaction in a chiral environment, have been studied as synzymatic catalytic systems.

Proteinvermittelte Kupfer‐Redoxregulation: Rolle von Disulfidbrücken und allosterischer Modulation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Copper binding triggers structural changes that expose a reactive disulphide bridge, enabling intrinsic Cu(II) reduction in folded proteins. SAXS, XAS, and QM/MM simulations reveal how globular proteins such as HSA and SOD1 employ disulphide‐mediated dynamics to modulate site accessibility and control copper redox chemistry.

SÍNTESIS DE DERIVADOS DE XANTENO EN UN LÍQUIDO IÓNICO

open access: yesAvances en Ciencias e Ingeniería, 2019
This paper describes a simple and efficient procedure for obtaining an ionic liquid, 1,3-dimethylimidazolium methylsulfate, and its application in the synthesis of various xanthene derivatives, by coupling reactions of benzaldehyde or substituted ...
