Robust Multi-Frame Super-Resolution Based on Adaptive Half-Quadratic Function and Local Structure Tensor Weighted BTV

open access: yesSensors, 2021
It is difficult to improve image resolution in hardware due to the limitations of technology and too high costs, but most application fields need high resolution images, so super-resolution technology has been produced. This paper mainly uses information

Characterization of Nitinol Produced by Laser Powder Bed Fusion for Mechanical Metamaterial Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

Multi-objective optimization of the thermal management system for electrosprayed aluminum nitride coatings for light-emitting diode modules [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Advances
This report investigates the prediction of the thermal performance of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) by electrostatic spraying, which was applied to aluminum nitride (AlN)-coated heat sinks using the desirability function based on response surface ...

Twin Least Squares Support Vector Regression of Heteroscedastic Gaussian Noise Model

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The training algorithm of twin least squares support vector regression (TLSSVR) transforms unequal constraints into equal constraints in a pair of quadratic programming problems, it owns faster computational speed.

Single-cell protein dynamics reproduce universal fluctuations in cell populations

open access: yes, 2015
Protein variability in single cells has been studied extensively in populations, but little is known about temporal protein fluctuations in a single cell over extended times.

EBSD Study of Creep‐Induced Lattice Misorientation in MgO‐Particle‐Reinforced Austenitic Steel Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

Experimental research on low and strength characteristics of coal slime based cemented filling material

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu
To study the flow and strength characteristics of coal slime based backfill materials, orthogonal tests were used to design one cemented backfill material combining coal slime, high-water-content materials, cement, and fly ash.

A homing problem for diffusion processes with control-dependent variance

open access: yes, 2004
Controlled one-dimensional diffusion processes, with infinitesimal variance (instead of the infinitesimal mean) depending on the control variable, are considered in an interval located on the positive half-line. The process is controlled until it reaches

Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.

Genetic evaluation and selection response for growth in meat-type quail through random regression models using B-spline functions and Legendre polynomials

open access: yesAnimal, 2018
The objective was to estimate (co)variance functions using random regression models (RRM) with Legendre polynomials, B-spline function and multi-trait models aimed at evaluating genetic parameters of growth traits in meat-type quail.
