Quenched coupling, entangled equilibria, and correlated composite operators: a tale of two O(N) models

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
A macroscopic version of Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen entanglement is obtained by quenching a quadratic coupling between two O(N) vector models. A quench of the mixed vacuum produces an excited entangled state, reminiscent of purified thermal equilibrium ...

Spin polarized phases in strongly interacting matter: interplay between axial-vector and tensor mean fields

open access: yes, 2018
The spontaneous spin polarization of strongly interacting matter due to axial-vector and tensor type interactions is studied at zero temperature and high baryon-number densities.

Remarks on propagating waves in non-linear vacuum electrodynamics

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2023
Using the quadratic expansion in the photon fields of Euler–Heisenberg (EH) non-linear electrodynamics (NLED) Lagrangian model we study relevant vacuum properties in a scenario involving the propagation of a photon probe in the presence of a background ...

Symplectic spaces and pairs of symmetric and nonsingular skew-symmetric matrices under congruence

open access: yes, 2017
Let $\mathbb F$ be a field of characteristic not $2$, and let $(A,B)$ be a pair of $n\times n$ matrices over $\mathbb F$, in which $A$ is symmetric and $B$ is skew-symmetric.

Multidirectional Motion Strategy of Miniature Water Surface Robot Actuated by Single Exciter

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A novel multidirectional motion strategy on the water surface based on a single exciter is proposed, and a single‐exciter single‐plate module is developed for actuation. The driving forces generation mechanism of the module is revealed from the perspective of the asymmetric surface wave field.

About a conjecture on quadratic vector fields

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Algebra, 2001
Let \(U\) be a partial differential field of characteristic 0 with differentiations \(\delta_{1},\dots ,\delta_{m}\) and \(R\) be a factorial differential subring of \(U\) with a field of quotients \(F\). Denote by \(C\) a field of constants of \(F\).

Gait Analysis of Pak Biawak: A Necrobot Lizard Built using the Skeleton of an Asian Water Monitor (Varanus Salvator)

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Pak Biawak, a necrobot, embodies an unusual fusion of biology and robotics. Designed to repurpose natural structures after death, it challenges conventional boundaries between nature and engineering. Its movements are precise yet unsettling, raising questions about sustainability, ethics, and the untapped potential of biointegrated machines.

Numerical Modeling of Photothermal Self‐Excited Composite Oscillators

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
We present a numerical framework for simulating photothermal self‐excited oscillations. The driving mechanism is elucidated by highlighting the roles of inertia and overshoot, as well as the phase lag between the thermal moment and the oscillation angle, which together construct the feedback loop between the system state and the environmental stimulus.

A Soft Robotic Fish With a Dielectric Elastomer Actuator Body and Negative Stiffness Spine

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work introduces a bio‐mimetic soft robotic fish driven by fiber‐reinforced dielectric elastomer actuators integrated as its body. By prestretching this active skin against a flexible spine, a negative stiffness system is created, enabling large‐amplitude bending.
