LC-ESI-QTOF/MS Characterisation of Phenolic Acids and Flavonoids in Polyphenol-Rich Fruits and Vegetables and Their Potential Antioxidant Activities

open access: yesAntioxidants, 2019
Polyphenols are naturally occurring compounds found largely in fruits and vegetables. The antioxidant properties of these polyphenols including total phenolic content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC), tannin content, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl ...

Dynamic Optical Lattices Through Conducting Polymer‐Gated Confinement

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The conducting polymer gate is incorporated into organic dielectric lattices to control the dynamic switching of nonlocal Mie resonances in the visible/NIR regions. The “closed gate” from oxidized PEDOT confines the light within dielectric nanocylinders and activates nonlocal Mie resonances, while the “opened gate” from reduced PEDOT facilitates ...

Amido‐Amine Co(II) Precursor‐Based Atomic/Molecular Layer Deposition Processes for Cobalt‐Organic Thin Films and Their Thermal Conversion to CoO Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Three new atomic/molecular layer deposition processes are developed for Co‐organic thin films using a promising all‐nitrogen‐coordinated cobalt precursor. The study examines film growth, reaction mechanisms, chemical stability, and decomposition pathways of the resulting films through extensive characterization techniques and DFT calculations ...

Non-yrast nuclear spectra in a model of coherent quadrupole-octupole motion

open access: yes, 2012
A model assuming coherent quadrupole-octupole vibrations and rotations is applied to describe non-yrast energy sequences with alternating parity in several even-even nuclei from different regions, namely $^{152,154}$Sm, $^{154,156,158}$Gd, $^{236}$U and $

High‐Transmission Mid‐Infrared Bandpass Filters using Hybrid Metal‐Dielectric Metasurfaces for CO2 Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 8, March 13, 2025.
This article presents a hybrid metal‐dielectric metasurface in transmission mode for mid‐infrared (MIR) spectroscopy. Composed of germanium on aluminium cylinders atop a calcium fluoride substrate, the metasurface achieves 80% transmission efficiency at λ = 2.6 µm with a narrow full‐width‐half‐maximum of 0.4 µm.

Enhanced long-range quadrupole effects in 2D MSi2N4: impacts on electric and thermal transport

open access: yesnpj Computational Materials
Long-range higher-order multipolar electron–phonon (e-ph) interactions beyond the dipole-like Fröhlich interactions have long been neglected in the description of various physical properties. Here we demonstrate the contribution from quadrupole effect to

Nuclear collective motion with a coherent coupling interaction between quadrupole and octupole modes

open access: yes, 2006
A collective Hamiltonian for the rotation-vibration motion of nuclei is considered, in which the axial quadrupole and octupole degrees of freedom are coupled through the centrifugal interaction.

Mode‐dependent Far‐field Radiation of Circularly Polarized Light by a Single Plasmonic Nanohelix

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 8, March 13, 2025.
The numerical simulations explored the chiroptical response and far‐field radiation behaviors of single plasmonic nanoantennas transitioning into helical structures. This study highlights the ability of these plasmonic nanohelices to regulate the far‐field directionality of radiation power and circular polarization in plasmon‐exciton coupled systems ...

Multipolar Resonances in Electro‐Optic Metasurfaces with Moderate Refractive Index

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Electro‐optic nanoantennas with moderate refractive indices of 2.3 to 3.0 are numerically shown to sustain strong multipolar resonances, enabling efficient light confinement and EO tuning. Multipolar modes of even parity are most sensitive to variations in the refractive index.

A Quadrupole Dalton-based multi-attribute method for product characterization, process development, and quality control of therapeutic proteins

open access: yesmAbs, 2017
During manufacturing and storage process, therapeutic proteins are subject to various post-translational modifications (PTMs), such as isomerization, deamidation, oxidation, disulfide bond modifications and glycosylation.
