Transitional quadrupole moments in83Y
Zeitschrift f�r Physik A Hadrons and Nuclei, 1994Doppler shift attenuation lifetime measurements have been carried out for the 3qp and isomeric rotational bands in Y-83 using the reaction (Ni(Si,3p))-Ni-58-Si-28. While the transitional quadrupole moments in the 3qp bands are slightly lower than in the 1 qp bands, we found evidence for a strong reduction in \Q(t)\ for the isomeric band.

Electric quadrupole transitions
Canadian Journal of Physics, 1991A data set has been compiled consisting of 101 E2 strengths observed in neutron radiative capture. The E2 strength function is found to be consistent with a fifth power energy dependence and mass dependence characterized by a power of n = 1.87 ± 0.07.

Quadrupole Phase Transitions in Magnetic Solids
Physical Review Letters, 1971We have studied the phase transitions of magnetic systems with large biquadratic interactions in the molecular-field approximation. Quadrupole and dipole phase transitions occur at different temperatures whenever the biquadratic interactions are greater than the bilinear terms for effective spin interactions with $\mathcal{S}g~\frac{3}{2}$.

Nuclear Physics A, 1969Abstract From Doppler shift attenuation and delayed coincidence measurements, lifetimes have been determined for states in 42 Ca as follows: The measured electric quadrupole transitions were compared with the predictions of the shell model, the weak-coupling model and the Gerace-Green calculations.

Hysteresis-like phase transitions in quadrupole traps
Modern Physics Letters A, 2022In this paper, we consider the Coulomb crystals in linear ion trap with a nonlinear dissipative force induced by optical radiation. We discuss a relation between 2D and 3D ion crystals formation and the crystalline units’ initial conditions. A phase diagram of the Coulomb crystal configurations is constructed.

Screening Doublets in X-ray Quadrupole and Non-quadrupole Transitions
Proceedings of the Physical Society, 1963A close examination of recent data on the x-ray quadrupole and non-quadrupole transitions reveals, for the first time, five pairs of lines, namely (LIMI, LIIMII), (LINI, LIINII), (LIOI, LIIOII), (LIIOIII, LIOIV,V) and (LIMI, LIMII), which form screening doublets.

Conversion coefficients for electric quadrupole transitions
Nuclear Physics, 1958The measured K and L shell conversion coefficients of the 412 kev transition in Hg/sup 198/ / and the 279 kev transition in Tl/sup 203/ are compared with the results of calculations by Rose and by Sliv and Enrd which are corrected for effects due to the finite nuclear size.
