Metrics for Measuring Data Quality - Foundations for an Economic Oriented Management of Data Quality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The article develops metrics for an economic oriented management of data quality. Two data quality dimensions are focussed: consistency and timeliness. For deriving adequate metrics several requirements are stated (e. g.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

COORDINATES OF BANKING SERVICES QUALITY MANAGEMENT [PDF]

open access: yes
In the field of services, quality is, in general, defined by the client and the management ensures the overfulfilment of the client’s demands and expectations. The quality of services implies two essential aspects that a manager has to take into account:

Improved quality and disease management in diverse populations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Improved biodiversity is one of the key principles in organic farming and therefore organic plant breeding seeks alternatives to the currently dominant pureline monocultures.

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

RESURSELE UMANE IN MANAGEMENTUL CALITATII TOTALE [PDF]

open access: yes
Human resources are the most important component of quality management. The total management quality has as an organizational philosophy the Japanese concept of “Kaizen” meaning the continuos improvement. In order to promote the improvement in quality it

Small Grain Forage Trial Nitrogen Fertility and Harvest Date [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Cool season annual forages, such as cereal grains, can provide early season grazing as well as high quality stored feed. However, it is unclear if quality and yield of these forages could be improved through better fertility management.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.
