Dissertation: Making Sense out of all that Quantitative Data

open access: yes, 2010
This is one of a series of audio podcasts that provides advice and guidance for several of the stages of the dissertation process. This OER discusses some hints and tips on writing-up the quantitative data to aid the creation of concise, interesting and

Data for: Citizen science data are a reliable complement to quantitative ecological assessments in urban rivers

open access: yes, 2020
This data set contains the invertebrate assemblage information from the study by Krabbenhoft and Kashian. Quantitative data are from mean abundances of three replicate Hess stream bottom samples at each site.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

A Latent Variable Approach to Multivariate Quantitative Trait Loci

open access: yes, 2010
A novel approach based on latent variable modelling is presented for the analysis of multivariate quantitative and qualitative trait loci. The approach is general in the sense that it enables the joint analysis of many kinds of quantitative and ...

Using quantitative data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The intention of this chapter is to demystify quantitative research and give readers clear, straightforward information about collecting and analysing quantitative data. It does this by clarifying key concepts and terms and illustrating these with examples taken from the author’s own research and other investigations.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
