Quantitative Nondestructive Evaluation of Adhesive Bond Strength

open access: yes, 1988
Performance determination of adhesively bonded systems is a subject of intense interest to both researchers and designers. Attempts to predict adhesive bond performance have mainly focused on nondestructively identifying gross anomalies such as voids or ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Computational Fluid Dynamics Study on Bottom-Hole Multiphase Flow Fields Formed by Polycrystalline Diamond Compact Drill Bits in Foam Drilling

open access: yesFluids
High-temperature geothermal wells frequently employ foam drilling fluids and Polycrystalline Diamond Compact (PDC) drill bits. Understanding the bottom-hole flow field of PDC drill bits in foam drilling is essential for accurately analyzing their ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Quantitative NDE Using Imagery and Other Known Information about a Test Object

open access: yes, 1990
Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) often requires learning about the state of the interior or surface of a test object without direct observation. Traditionally this has been done with limited means, often by applying simple acoustic, electromagnetic or ...

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.
