CONTEXTUAL OBJECTIVITY AND THE QUANTUM FORMALISM [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Quantum Information, 2005
The "new orthodoxy" of quantum mechanics (QM) based on the decoherence approach requires many-worlds as an essential ingredient for logical consistency, and one may wonder what status to give to all these "other worlds." Here we advocate that it is possible to build a consistent approach to QM where no other worlds are needed, and where the quantum ...

Machine Learning‐Based Standard Compact Model Binning Parameter Extraction Methodology for Integrated Circuit Design of Next‐Generation Semiconductor Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study presents a neural network‐based methodology for Berkeley Short‐Channel IGFET Model–Common Multi‐Gate parameter extraction of gate‐all‐around field effect transistors, integrating binning adaptive sampling and transformer neural networks to efficiently capture current–voltage and capacitance–voltage characteristics.

Contextuality in measurement-based quantum computation [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2013
We show, under natural assumptions for qubit systems, that measurement-based quantum computations (MBQCs) which compute a non-linear Boolean function with high probability are contextual. The class of contextual MBQCs includes an example which is of practical interest and has a super-polynomial speedup over the best known classical algorithm, namely ...

Edge Information‐Augmented Auxiliary Diagnosis Method for Cervical Cancer in Medical Decision‐Making Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
To address the problems of insufficient utilization of multiscale features and inefficient feature sharing between tasks in the model, this study proposes an edge‐enhanced intelligent cervical cancer screening method that achieves feature reuse and improves efficiency by jointly optimizing nucleolus segmentation and lesion classification.

Quantum contextuality as a topological property, and the ontology of potentiality

open access: yesZagadnienia Filozoficzne w Nauce, 2020
Quantum contextuality and its ontological meaning are very controversial issues, and they relate to other problems concerning the foundations of quantum theory.

Hierarchical Language Models for Semantic Navigation and Manipulation in an Aerial‐Ground Robotic System

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A hierarchical multimodal framework coupling a large language model for task decomposition and semantic mapping with a fine‐tuned vision‐language model for semantic perception, enhanced by GridMask, is presented. An aerial‐ground robot team exploits the semantic map for global and local planning.

Soft Robotic Sim2Real via Conditional Flow Matching

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A new framework based on conditional flow matching addresses the persistent Sim2Real gap in soft robotics. By learning a conditional probability path, the model directly transforms inaccurate simulation data to match physical reality, successfully capturing complex phenomena like hysteresis.

Wigner Function Negativity and Contextuality in Quantum Computation on Rebits

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2015
We describe a universal scheme of quantum computation by state injection on rebits (states with real density matrices). For this scheme, we establish contextuality and Wigner function negativity as computational resources, extending results of M.
