Noncommutative quantum gravity [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2000
The possible role of gravity in a noncommutative geometry is investigated. Due to the Moyal *-product of fields in noncommutative geometry, it is necessary to complexify the metric tensor of gravity. We first consider the possibility of a complex Hermitian, nonsymmetric $g_{ }$ and discuss the problems associated with such a theory.

Ultra‐High Sensitivity, Wide‐Range Thermometry Based on High‐Quality Microscale Diamond Resonators

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
By combing high‐crystal quality single‐crystal diamond MEMS cantilevers with multi‐mode resonance, the groundbreaking microscale ultra‐high sensitivity ≈22 nK Hz−1/2 and resolution of 100 µK thermometry is achieved. The diamond MEMS thermometry can operate over a wide temperature range from 6.5 to 380 K. This work underscores diamond MEMS resonators as

A DIALOG ON QUANTUM GRAVITY [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics D, 2003
The debate between loop quantum gravity and string theory is sometime lively, and it is hard to present an impartial view on the issue. Leaving any attempt to impartiality aside, I report here, instead, a conversation on this issue, overheard in the cafeteria of a Major American University.

Free‐Standing Supramolecular Pyridine N‐Oxide‐Silver(I) Metallogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A comprehensive analysis of pyridine N‐oxide‐silver(I) trifluoroacetate complexes reveals remarkable mechanical strengths that enable the creation of free‐standing objects with shape control, reaching dimensions of up to centimeters and shedding new insights into the gelation mechanisms.

QUANTUM, GRAVITY AND GEOMETRY [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 2000
Recently,1–3 it is shown that, the quantum effects of matter are well described by the conformal degree of freedom of the space–time metric. On the other hand, it is a well-known fact that according to Einstein's gravity theory, gravity and geometry are interconnected.

Nanoarchitectonics of Metal–Organic Framework and Nanocellulose Composites for Multifunctional Environmental Remediation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Nanoscale metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) and nanocellulose composites have significant potential for the multi‐functional remediation of the environment. This review focused on the synthesis strategies (in situ growth, ex situ growth, and other approaches), typical forms (aerogel, hydrogel, beads, and membrane), and applications in the removal of ...

Magnetically “Programming” Cobalt‐Doped Iron Oxide Nanoparticles for Localized Induction Heating: Triggering a Collective Effect of Magnetic Moment Alignment on Demand

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates enhanced induction heating in cobalt‐doped iron oxide nanoparticles via specific pre‐magnetization, induced by the pre‐alignment of magnetic moments. By correlating Co content with magnetic properties, the research highlights how magnetic pre‐programming enables localized, on‐demand debonding in composites.
