Assessing the performance of quantum repeaters for all phase-insensitive Gaussian bosonic channels

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2016
One of the most sought-after goals in experimental quantum communication is the implementation of a quantum repeater. The performance of quantum repeaters can be assessed by comparing the attained rate with the quantum and private capacity of direct ...

MINIMUM GUESSWORK DISCRIMINATION BETWEEN QUANTUM STATES [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Error probability is a popular and well-studied optimization criterion in discriminating non-orthogonal quantum states. It captures the threat from an adversary who can only query the actual state once.

Memristor‐Driven Active‐Matrix Organic Light‐Emitting Diode for Energy Efficient and High‐Resolution Displays

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that memristors can replace conventional 2T–1C driving circuits with simplified 1T–1 m architectures by exploiting resistance switching. With ultra‐low switching voltages (< ±0.2 V) and multi‐level resistance states, the memristors precisely control the current injected into organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs).

Passive Decoy-State Quantum Key Distribution with Coherent Light

open access: yesEntropy, 2015
Signal state preparation in quantum key distribution schemes can be realized using either an active or a passive source. Passive sources might be valuable in some scenarios; for instance, in those experimental setups operating at high transmission rates,

Rationally Designed Bilayer Passivation Strategy for High‐Performance Vacuum‐Processed Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bilayer “Anchor‐and‐Seal” passivation strategy using EDAI2 and 4MeO‐PEAI effectively mitigates surface defects in vacuum‐processed perovskite films through synergistic hydrogen bonding and Lewis base coordination. This approach optimizes interfacial energy alignment and suppresses non‐radiative recombination, enabling vacuum‐deposited p‐i‐n ...

Practical issues of twin-field quantum key distribution

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2019
Twin-field quantum key distribution(TF-QKD) protocol and its variants, such as phase-matching QKD, sending-or-not-sending QKD and no phase post-selection TF-QKD(NPP-TFQKD), are very promising for long-distance applications.

Orbital Geometry‐Governed Response of Pressure‐Tunable Quantum Defects in hBN

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Defects in hBN act as ultrasensitive quantum manometers when the energy of the intradefect optical transitions is modified by lattice compression. The orbital geometry of the electron wave functions governs how electron hopping and Coulomb interactions react uniquely to the reduction of the van der Waals gap and in‐plane compression, leading to robust ...
