Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Advanced quantum noise correlations

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2014
We use the quantum correlations of twin beams of light to investigate the fundamental addition of noise when one of the beams propagates through a fast-light medium based on phase-insensitive gain.

Classical interpretation for the influence of XUV pulse width on the streaking time delay and the oscillation amplitude of the momentum shift

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2023
We numerically investigate both the streaking time delay and the oscillation amplitude of the momentum shift of the photoelectron and justify them physically by developing a classical model based on the weak field approximation.

QUANTUM COMPUTATION BY MEASUREMENTS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Quantum Information, 2004
We first consider various methods for the indirect implementation of unitary gates. We apply these methods to rederive the universality of 4-qubit measurements based on a scheme much simpler than Nielsen's original construction [quant-ph/0108020]. Then, we prove the universality of simple discrete sets of 2-qubit measurements, again using a scheme ...

Carboxylic‐Acid Functionalized Multiwalled Carbon Nanotube‐Alkane‐Based Resistive Temperature Sensor for Cold Chain Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a reversible temperature sensor with high switching ratio, ∼103. The device is fabricated using PET‐ITO and carbon nanotube dispersions in alkane. Considering its application in cold chain logistics, a proof‐of‐concept with LED is showcased. Thus, a temperature drop below the threshold temperature (crystallization temperature of the

Influence of an Argon/Silane Atmosphere on the Temperature of a Thermal Plasma

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of a silane‐doped argon atmosphere on the chemical composition and temperature of a thermal nontransferring argon plasma is investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. As a result of the high amount of free electrons resulting from the stepwise ionization and dissociation of the silane molecule, even a silane addition of 0.01 vol ...
