Full Network Nonlocality

open access: yes, 2022
Networks have advanced the study of nonlocality beyond Bell's theorem. Here, we introduce the concept of full network nonlocality, which describes correlations that necessitate all links in a network to distribute nonlocal resources. Showcasing that this

Long‐Range Interactions in Topological Superconducting Systems: A Mini Review

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
Long‐range interacting quantum systems are surveyed in this review, with an emphasis on the long‐range topological superconductor and its variants. Long‐range interactions decaying in a power‐law manner can lead to exotic phenomena that finds no analogue in short‐range regimes.

Moiré Folded Helical States at the Interfaces of Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
This manuscript explores a minimal ladder model of a graphene‐topological‐insulator heterostructure where moiré superlattices modulate Rashba spin‐orbit coupling. The study reveals that SOC lifs spin degeneracy, halves spectral periodicity, and induces “helicity fragmentation” across moiré minibands.

Nonlocality in sequential correlation scenarios

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2014
As first shown by Popescu (1995 Phys. Rev. Lett. 74 2619), some quantum states only reveal their nonlocality when subjected to a sequence of measurements while giving rise to local correlations in standard Bell tests.

Connector Tensor Networks: A Renormalization-Type Approach to Quantum Certification

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2020
As quantum technologies develop, we acquire control of an ever-growing number of quantum systems. Unfortunately, current tools to detect relevant quantum properties of quantum states, such as entanglement and Bell nonlocality, suffer from severe ...

The quantum world is not built up from correlations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
It is known that the global state of a composite quantum system can be completely determined by specifying correlations between measurements performed on subsystems only.

Guiding and Manipulating Light Fields in Microstructured Liquid Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
This review summarizes recent advances in guided‐wave optics enabled by microstructured liquid crystal (LC) devices, covering their fundamental material properties, key degree of freedom for dynamic light field manipulations. The advances of linear guided‐wave optics, nonlinear‐optics with spatial optical solitons, and microlasers in LC‐based devices ...

Nonlocality of quantum states can be transitive

open access: yesnpj Quantum Information
Despite the monogamous nature of nonlocal correlations, in a Bell test involving three parties A, B, and C, the nonlocality in two bipartite subsystems (e.g., AB and BC) may force the remaining bipartite subsystem (e.g., AC) to exhibit nonlocality ...

Boosting Electron‐Hole Charge Separation in CO2 Photoreduction through Fluoroporphyrin‐Linked Nickel(II)‐Acetylide Frameworks

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
A NiII‐acetylide framework, H2TFPP‐Ni‐AF, demonstrates outstanding photocatalytic CO2 reduction performance: 13.16 mmol h−1 g−1 of CO with 97.9% selectivity. Synergistic interactions, including d‐p orbital hybridization within NiII‐bis(acetylide) moieties ( − C ≡ C−NiII(PBu3)2 − C ≡ C − ) and the efficient charge transport afforded by π‐conjugated ...

The Future of Foundation Machine Learning Potentials and DFT in Homogeneous Catalysis: Competition or Synergy?

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Machine‐learning potentials are increasingly taking on the exploratory tasks of homogeneous catalysis, enabling rapid conformer sampling and reaction‐space mapping. However, when selectivity depends on subtle electronic effects, electronic‐structure methods remain essential.
