Quantum nonlocality and quantum dynamics
Latex2e/RevTex4; 5 pgs; submitted to Phys.Lett.A. Sec.4 removed and superseded by quant-ph/0207042. Sec.3 now includes argument on equivalence of "remote preparation" to "projection postulate", and a well-behaved nonlinear example for ...

Bio‐inspired nanophotonics: Structural color, chirality, and resonance metasurfaces
A butterfly‐wing‐inspired anisotropic plasmonic flatband resonant metasurface. Insets, photo of the butterfly, Sasakia charonda, and the SEM image of its wing scale (above); the SEM image of the metasurface (below). Abstract The dazzling colors of butterfly wings and hummingbird feathers are not painted with pigments, but crafted by nature's invisible ...

Does Time-Symmetry Imply Retrocausality? How the Quantum World Says "Maybe" [PDF]
It has often been suggested that retrocausality offers a solution to some of the puzzles of quantum mechanics: e.g., that it allows a Lorentz-invariant explanation of Bell correlations, and other manifestations of quantum nonlocality, without action-at-a-

Stimulated Forward Brillouin Scattering in Subwavelength Grating Silicon Membranes
This work proposes a novel strategy to achieve large Brillouin scattering with independent control of the optical and mechanical modes using subwavelength silicon membranes. We experimentally demonstrate remarkably high Brillouin gain, resulting in an on/off Stokes gain of 3 dB and anti‐Stokes loss of 4 dB in a 6 mm‐long waveguide with 35 mW of on‐chip

Environmental Effects on Nonlocal Correlations
Environmental interactions are ubiquitous in practical instances of any quantum information processing protocol. The interaction results in depletion of various quantum resources and even complete loss in numerous situations.

The goal of this work is to look at how a nonlinear model describes hematopoiesis and its complexities utilizing commonly used techniques with historical and material links. Based on time delay, the Mackey–Glass model is explored in two instances. To offer a range, the relevance of the parameter impacting stability (bifurcation) is recorded.
