A boundary integral formalism for stochastic ray tracing in billiards [PDF]
Determining the flow of rays or non-interacting particles driven by a force or velocity field is fundamental to modelling many physical processes. These include particle flows arising in fluid mechanics and ray flows arising in the geometrical optics ...

Modelling intermittent anomalous diffusion with switching fractional Brownian motion
The stochastic trajectories of molecules in living cells, as well as the dynamics in many other complex systems, often exhibit memory in their path over long periods of time.

Series of iterated quantum stochastic integrals [PDF]
We consider series of iterated non-commutative stochastic integrals of scalar operators on the boson Fock space. We give a sufficient condition for these series to converge and to define a reasonable operator. An application of this criterion gives a condition for the convergence of some formal series of generalized integrator processes such as ...

Quantum Mechanics from Stochastic Processes
We construct an explicit one-to-one correspondence between non-relativistic stochastic processes and solutions of the Schrodinger equation and between relativistic stochastic processes and solutions of the Klein-Gordon equation.

Ramsey interferometry of non-Hermitian quantum impurities
We introduce a Ramsey pulse scheme which extracts the non-Hermitian Hamiltonian associated with an arbitrary Lindblad dynamics. We propose a related protocol to measure via interferometry a generalized Loschmidt echo of a generic state evolving in time ...

A Galerkin FEM for Riesz space-fractional CNLS
In quantum physics, fractional Schrödinger equation is of particular interest in the research of particles on stochastic fields modeled by the Lévy processes, which was derived by extending the Feynman path integral over the Brownian paths to a path ...

Feynman rules for forced wave turbulence
It has long been known that weakly nonlinear field theories can have a late-time stationary state that is not the thermal state, but a wave turbulent state with a far-from-equilibrium cascade of energy.

Quantum stochastic calculus with maximal operator domains. [PDF]
Quantum stochastic calculus is extended in a new formulation in which its stochastic integrals achieve their natural and maximal domains. Operator adaptedness, conditional expectations and stochastic integrals are all defined simply in terms of the ...

In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.
