Macroscopic Superposition States in Isolated Quantum Systems
For any choice of initial state and weak assumptions about the Hamiltonian, large isolated quantum systems undergoing Schrödinger evolution spend most of their time in macroscopic superposition states.

Zero-error Coding Method Based on Quantum Five-symbol Confusion Channel Model [PDF]
In view of the lack of effective coding schemes for quantum zero-error channel, based on the characteristics of quantum five-symbol confusion channel model and the theory of matrix theory,a coding method of five-symbol confusion channel combining quantum ...

Macroscopic Superpositions as Quantum Ground States [PDF]
We study the question of what kind of a macroscopic superposition can(not) naturally exist as a ground state of some gapped local many-body Hamiltonian. We derive an upper bound on the energy gap of an arbitrary physical Hamiltonian provided that its ground state is a superposition of two well-distinguishable macroscopic "semi-classical" states.

Steering-enhanced quantum metrology using superpositions of noisy phase shifts
Quantum steering is an important correlation in quantum information theory. A recent work [Nat. Commun. 12, 2410 (2021)NCAOBW2041-172310.1038/s41467-021-22353-3] showed that quantum steering is also useful for quantum metrology.

Lying in the core of the conceptual scheme of current quantum theory, the notion of quantum superposition is a consequence of the quantum-mechanical superposition principle. However, relying on precise but not attainable space or time coordinates, quantum superposition makes little sense physically if we use it to describe or explain experimental ...

Investigating the influence of visualization on student understanding of quantum superposition
Visualizations in interactive computer simulations are a powerful tool to help students develop productive mental models, particularly in the case of quantum phenomena that have no classical analogue.

Quantum Reference Frames for Lorentz Symmetry [PDF]
Since their first introduction, Quantum Reference Frame (QRF) transformations have been extensively discussed, generalising the covariance of physical laws to the quantum domain.

Collapse dynamics and Hilbert-space stochastic processes
Spontaneous collapse models of state vector reduction represent a possible solution to the quantum measurement problem. In the present paper we focus our attention on the Ghirardi–Rimini–Weber (GRW) theory and the corresponding continuous localisation ...
