Real-time tracking of coherent oscillations of electrons in a nanodevice by photo-assisted tunnelling

open access: yesNature Communications
Coherent collective oscillations of electrons excited in metallic nanostructures (localized surface plasmons) can confine incident light to atomic scales and enable strong light-matter interactions, which depend nonlinearly on the local field.

Band Alignment of Grafted Si/Ge0.89Sn0.11 Heterojunction Determined by X‐Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We investigate the band alignment of a monocrystalline grafted p‐type Si/Ge0.89Sn0.11 heterostructure using X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The bandgap of the Ge0.89Sn0.11 epilayer of 0.50 eV was first determined and cross‐verified using photoluminescence spectroscopy, infrared transmission, and theoretical calculation.

Coherent tunnelling in coupled quantum wells under a uniform magnetic fields

open access: yes, 2007
Coherent tunnelling is studied in framework of the effective mass approximation for an asymmetric coupled quantum well. The Hartree potential due to the electron-electron interaction is considered in our calculation.

Tunnelling

open access: yes, 2000
Tunnelling has become a fragmented process, excessively influenced by lawyers'notions of confrontational contractual bases. This prevents the pooling of skills, essential to the achievement of the promoters' objectives.
