Deposition Control of Parylene-A film with Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM)

open access: yesProcedia Engineering, 2012
SummaryThe parylene-A is a polymer of p-xylene with primary amine groups, and it is polymerized by pyrolysis of the functionalized parylene dimer with primary amine groups. The functionalized parylene-A film was used for the biosensor applications to immobilize proteins, and it requires a quite thin film with a thickness less than 100nm.

High‐Sublimation‐Temperature Additives for Efficient Perovskite Solar Cells via Single‐Source Evaporation

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The introduction of high‐sublimation‐temperature additives during the mechanosynthesis of FAPbI3 powders enables the single‐source evaporation of phase‐pure, additive‐free FAPbI3 thin films of high optoelectronic quality. The additive‐engineered deposition process yields photovoltaic devices with stabilized efficiencies exceeding 18% for an active ...

Redox Complexity in Sodium Manganese Hexacyanomanganate and Its Influence on Sodium‐Ion Storage Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The role of each Mn site in the Na3‐xMn[Mn(CN)6]·zH2O compounds’ redox activity was investigated using a combined experimental–computational approach, which shows that only the low‐spin Mn‐C site undergoes redox changes (Mn1+ to Mn4+), while high‐spin Mn‐N remains unchanged. The study confirms the presence of the Mn1+ intermediate and newly reveals its

Ligand‐Intercalated MOFs Enable Reaction‐Pathway Engineering in Biomass Electrooxidation via Steric and π‐Electronic Microenvironment Control

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 19, 4 May 2026.
Through ligand length and π‐electron density modulation, metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) improve mass transport and hydrogen atom transfer (HAT), thus improving biomass electrooxidation. ABSTRACT Controlling reaction pathways in electrocatalytic biomass upgrading remains challenging because mass transport, substrate adsorption, and elementary kinetics ...

Fabricating a Highly Sensitive QCM Sensor Using AAO Nanoholes and Its Application for Biosensing

open access: yesProceedings, 2017
A nanostructure composed of Anodic Aluminum Oxide (AAO) was obtained on an electrode of a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) chip by anodizing Al thin film in an oxalic acid solution.

Subsurface Stabilization of Interstitial Pt Atoms on CeO2(111): Rethinking Single‐Atom Catalyst Architectures

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
By combining polarization‐resolved IRRAS on atomically flat CeO2(111) single crystals with quantitative XPS and DFT calculations, we identify an unusual subsurface interstitial configuration of Pt single atoms that gives rise to a previously unobserved, blue‐shifted CO vibrational mode.

Emerging research directions in nanoparticle‐based foam control for bioprocessing: a bibliometric approach

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, EarlyView.
Abstract Overfoaming remains a critical challenge in industrial bioprocesses, compromising mass transfer, operational stability, and downstream efficiency in bioreactors and wastewater treatment systems. This study provides a bibliometric and scientometric assessment of nanoparticle‐enabled foam control to map technological trends and identify research

Quartz crystal microbalance experiments reveal structural changes in the Staphylococcus aureus biofilm in the presence of savirin

open access: yesResults in Surfaces and Interfaces
Quartz-crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM-D) experiments show that green-fluorescent protein labelled Staphylococcus aureus adsorption to a gold QCM electrode is similar for a certain incubation period (here, 6 h) in the presence and absence of ...
