Strong Metal‐Support Interaction Driven Janus Reconstruction in PtRu Alloys for Low‐Temperature Hydrogen Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Strong metal‐support interactions (SMSI) drive the spontaneous segregation of RuPt alloy into Janus nanoparticles on CeO2, spatially partitioning Pt‐rich domains for H2 dissociation and Ru‐rich domains for toluene adsorption. This Janus nanocatalysts yield a turnover frequency of 10 906 h−1 for toluene hydrogenation at 50 °C, which is 6.7 times that of

Synergistic Grain Boundary and Phonon Engineering Enables Ultrahigh Thermoelectric Performance in Mg3(Sb, Bi)2‐Based Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ta encapsulated melting and Cu doping synergistically engineer grain boundaries and phonon scattering in Mg3(Sb,Bi)2, enabling single‐crystal‐like carrier transport and high thermoelectric performance. ABSTRACT Thermoelectric Mg3(Sb, Bi)2 has emerged as a rising star in virtue of its promising thermoelectric performance and abundant constituent ...

Photoactivation‐Enabled Tunable Room‐Temperature Phosphorescence and Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence in Crystalline Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work is the first to demonstrate the regulation of photoactivated room‐temperature phosphorescence (RTP) and thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) in crystalline materials without any pretreatment. Furthermore, we reveal the underlying mechanisms by uncovering the role of host‐guest energy level alignment, exciton lifetime, crystallinity,

Water‐Soluble POSS Promotes Concurrent Coalescence and Crosslinking for Multiscale‐Reinforced, Coalescent‐Free Waterborne Coatings

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Water‐soluble amine‐functionalized polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane promotes concurrent latex coalescence and crosslinking, allowing epoxy‐functional particles to form continuous films without added volatile coalescing agents. The resulting multiscale‐reinforced waterborne coatings combine high strength, toughness, optical transparency, scratch ...
