Universality classes and critical phenomena in confined liquid systems

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2013
It is well known that the similar universal behavior of infinite-size (bulk) systems of different nature requires the same basic conditions: space dimensionality; number components of order parameter; the type (short- or long-range) of the intermolecular

Quasi-specular albedo of cold neutrons from powder of nanoparticles

open access: yes, 2009
We predicted and observed for the first time the quasi-specular albedo of cold neutrons at small incidence angles from a powder of nanoparticles. This albedo (reflection) is due to multiple neutron small-angle scattering.

Influence of coal sorbents on water molecules dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика, 2009
The results of investigations of the effect of non- and porous sorbents on water dynamics have been discused. Characteristics of dynamics by the spectra was obtained of quasi-elastic slow neutron scattering have been calculated.

Charged lepton flavor violation on target at GeV scale

open access: yes, 2015
We study the lepton flavor violating process, $e+ T \to \tau +T'$, at a few GeV. This process can be studied by experiments directing GeV scale electron or positron beams on internal or fixed targets. We study the effects of some low energy lepton flavor

Water sub-diffusion in membranes for fuel cells

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
We investigate the dynamics of water confined in soft ionic nano-assemblies, an issue critical for a general understanding of the multi-scale structure-function interplay in advanced materials.

Dynamics of the Singlet-Triplet System Coupled with Conduction Spins -- Application to Pr Skutterudites

open access: yes, 2005
Dynamics of the singlet-triplet crystalline electric field (CEF) system at finite temperatures is discussed by use of the non-crossing approximation. Even though the Kondo temperature is smaller than excitation energy to the CEF triplet, the Kondo effect

Fluctuating magnetic moments in liquid metals

open access: yes, 2005
We re-analyze literature data on neutron scattering by liquid metals to show that non-magnetic liquid metals possess a magnetic moment that fluctuates on a picosecond time scale.

How can we derive hydration water dynamics with incoherent neutron scattering and molecular dynamics simulation?

open access: yesBiophysics and Physicobiology, 2019
Incoherent neutron scattering (INS) is one of the useful experimental methods for studying protein dynamics at the pico-nanosecond timescale. At this timescale, protein dynamics is highly coupled with hydration, which is observed as protein dynamical ...

The \gamma-ray production in neutral-current neutrino oxygen interaction in the energy range above 100 MeV

open access: yes, 2011
We calculate the cross section of the gamma-ray production from neutral-current neutrino-oxygen quasi-elastic interaction, $\nu+\^{16}O \rightarrow \nu +p+^{15}N*$, or $\nu+^{16}O \rightarrow \nu+n+^{15}O*$, in which the residual nuclei (15N* or 15O ...
