Ionic Liquids Confined in Silica Ionogels: Structural, Thermal, and Dynamical Behaviors

open access: yesEntropy, 2017
Ionogels are porous monoliths providing nanometer-scale confinement of an ionic liquid within an oxide network. Various dynamic parameters and the detailed nature of phase transitions were investigated by using a neutron scattering technique, giving ...

Structure, morphology, thermal and conductivity properties of gel electrolyte system based on polyvinyl chloride and LiClO4

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика, 2018
The dynamics of atoms and molecules in gel electrolyte based on polyvinyl chloride and a solution of LiClO4 in propylene carbonate was studied by the method of quasielastic scattering of slow neutrons.

Quasi-elastic neutron scattering studies of protein dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Results that shed new light on the study of protein dynamics were obtained by quasi-elastic neutron scattering. The triple axis instrument H-9 supplied by the cold source was used to perform a detailed study of the quasi-elastic spectrum and the Debye-Waller factor for trypsin in powder form, in solution, and in crystals.

Revisiting Static and Dynamic Spin Ice Correlations in Ho2Ti2O7

open access: yes, 2008
Elastic and inelastic neutron scattering studies have been carried out on the pyrochlore magnet Ho2Ti2O7. Measurements in zero applied magnetic field show that the disordered spin ice ground state of Ho2Ti2O7 is characterized by a pattern of rectangular ...

Neutron form factors from quasi-elastic e-d scattering

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1969
Abstract The reaction e+d→e′+n+p was studied at electron scattering angles θ ⩽ 35° for four-momentum transfers of 0.39, 0.565 and 0.78 (GeV/c)2. By recording electron-neutron and electron-proton coincidences, the ratio of the electron scattering cross sections on quasi-free neutrons and protons was determined.

Quasi-elastic barrier distribution as a tool for investigating unstable nuclei

open access: yes, 2004
The method of fusion barrier distribution has been widely used to interpret the effect of nuclear structure on heavy-ion fusion reactions around the Coulomb barrier.

Universality classes and critical phenomena in confined liquid systems

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2013
It is well known that the similar universal behavior of infinite-size (bulk) systems of different nature requires the same basic conditions: space dimensionality; number components of order parameter; the type (short- or long-range) of the intermolecular
