Polarization-controlled quasi-phase-matching of high harmonic generation

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
A new class of quasi-phase matching high harmonic generation is proposed where the polarization of the driving field is controlled in a waveguide. The first circularly polarized quasi-phase matched source is shown to be possible.

Application of Quasi-Phase Matching Concept for Enhancement of High-Order Harmonics of Ultrashort Laser Pulses in Plasmas

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Novel methods of coherent short-wavelength sources generation require thorough analysis for their further amendments and practical implementations. In this work, we report on the quasi-phase matching (QPM) of high-order harmonics generation during the ...

Simulation of Ultra-Short Laser Pulses Propagation and Ionization in Dual-Gas-Cells to Enhance the Quasi-Phase Matching of Harmonics Generation in Plasmas

open access: goldJournal of Mathematical and Fundamental Sciences
A numerical model was designed and implemented to investigate the influence of plasma defocusing on laser characteristics. The effects of plasma defocusing were investigated by studying beam divergence, intensity reduction, and blue shifting.

Free-space quasi-phase matching [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
We report a new approach to phase matching of nonlinear materials based on the free space multipass cells. This concept quasi-phase matches crystalline quartz and increases the second harmonic generation efficiency by a factor ...

Optically Induced Nonlinear Cubic Crystal System for 3D Quasi‐Phase Matching

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, 2022
Quasi‐phase matching (QPM) is a technique in nonlinear optics for achieving efficient energy exchange among optical waves at different frequencies, by spatially modulating the quadratic nonlinearity (χ (2)) of the medium. To realize the full potential of
