Quasi-phase-matched supercontinuum-generation in photonic waveguides
Supercontinuum generation in integrated photonic waveguides is a versatile source of broadband light, and the generated spectrum is largely determined by the phase-matching conditions.

A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.

Robust Geometries for Second-Harmonic-Generation in Microrings Exhibiting a 4-Bar Symmetry
Microring resonators made of materials with a zinc-blend or diamond lattice allow exploiting their 4-bar symmetry to achieve quasi-phase matching condition for second-order optical nonlinearities.

Gallium microalloying redirects interfacial reactions in low‐temperature Bi–Sn solders from Cu–Sn toward Cu–Ga intermetallic formation. The resulting Cu–Ga layer suppresses intermetallic growth during thermal aging, alters fracture pathways, and improves interfacial stability.

Quasi-phase-matching $\chi^{(3)}-$parametric interactions in sinusoidally-tapered waveguides
In this article, I show how periodically-tapered waveguides can be employed as efficient quasi-phase-matching schemes for four-wave mixing parametric processes in third-order nonlinear materials.

Simulating Cascaded Harmonics Generation up to the Sixth Order in β-BBO
We simulate the generation of multiple harmonics up to the sixth order extending into vacuum ultraviolet. The harmonics are generated by χ(n):χ(m) cascades, containing second- or third-order perturbative nonlinear processes.

HEA interlayers offer a versatile route for joining high‐performance structural materials. Their compositional and structural design regulates interfacial reactions, suppresses brittle IMCs, and improves metallurgical bonding. Sandwich interlayers further integrate defect healing with precipitation strengthening, enabling improved strength–ductility ...
