Aggregation of L-Probabilistic Quasi-Uniformities [PDF]
The problem of aggregating fuzzy structures, mainly fuzzy binary relations, has deserved a lot of attention in the last years due to its application in several fields. Here, we face the problem of studying which properties must satisfy a function in order to merge an arbitrary family of (bases of) L-probabilistic quasi-uniformities into a single one ...

Emitter discharge of subsurface drip irrigation (SDI) decreases as a result of the overpressure in the soil water at the discharge orifice. In this paper, the variation in dripper discharge in SDI laterals is studied.

Every finite system of T1 uniformities comes from a single distance structure
Using the general notion of distance function introduced in an earlier paper, a construction of the finest distance structure which induces a given quasi-uniformity is given.

On precompact (quasi-) uniform structures [PDF]
The following are shown: (1) The subbasis theorem on precompactness does not hold even in uniform spaces. (2) The supremum of (even finitely many) precompact quasi-uniform structures is not necessarily precompact. (3) A compact quasi-uniform space is not necessarily totally bounded. These results contradict corresponding assertions in the literature.

Objective Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon because of the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.

Quasi uniform convexity—Revisited
For a Banach space, \(X\) denote by \(\mathcal{BC}(X)\) the family of all nonempty closed bounded subsets of \(X\). For \(A\in \mathcal{BC}(X)\), \(x\in X\) and \(r>0\), put \(r(A,x)=\sup_{a\in A}\|x-a\|\), \(r(A)=\inf_{x\in X}r(A,x)\), \(Z_r(A)=\{x\in X: r(A,x)\leq r\}\), and \(Z(A)=\{x\in X : r(A,x)=r(A)\}\).

Completeness of Hutton [0,1]-quasi-uniformities induced by a crisp uniformity [PDF]
In [25], Katsaras introduced a method for constructing a Hutton [0,1]-quasi-uniformity from a crisp uniformity. In thispaper we present other different methods for making this based mainly in the concept of a fuzzy uniform structure.Furthermore, we prove

Ordered compactifications and families of maps
For a T3.5-ordered space, certain families of maps are designated as defining families. For each such defining family we construct the smallest T2-ordered compactification such that each member of the family can be extended to the compactification ...
