A Comparison Between Quasi-Z-Source Inverter and Active Quasi-Z-Source Inverter
2019 10th International Conference on Power Electronics and ECCE Asia (ICPE 2019 - ECCE Asia), 2019This paper presents some comparative results between the three-phase quasi-Z source inverter (qZSI)and active quasi-Z source inverter (AqZSI). An improved PWM method is proposed for AqZSI. The voltage gain can be increased by using the shoot-through duty cycle and the switching ratio of the additional switch.

In this paper, theoretical results are shown for several novel inverters. These inverters are similar to the Z-source inverters presented in previous works, but have several advantages, including in some combination; lower component ratings, reduced source stress, reduced component count and simplified control strategies.

PWAM controlled quasi-Z source motor drive
2017 IEEE 26th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2017This paper proposes a novel pulse-width-amplitude-modulation (PWAM) method for three-phase quasi-Z source inverter system in motor drive application. It is demonstrated that it operates at only 1/3 switching frequency of traditional PWM methods, with less harmonic distortion.

A new topology for quasi-Z-source inverter
2015 30th International Power System Conference (PSC), 2015In this paper, a new circuit is proposed for step-up Z-source inverter based on QZSI (quasi-Z-source inverter). The proposed topology inherits all advantages of the conventional topology. The proposed topology in comparison with conventional topology reduces the ST (Shoot-through) duty cycle by over 25% at the same voltage boost factor.
