A Comparison Between Quasi-Z-Source Inverter and Active Quasi-Z-Source Inverter

2019 10th International Conference on Power Electronics and ECCE Asia (ICPE 2019 - ECCE Asia), 2019
This paper presents some comparative results between the three-phase quasi-Z source inverter (qZSI)and active quasi-Z source inverter (AqZSI). An improved PWM method is proposed for AqZSI. The voltage gain can be increased by using the shoot-through duty cycle and the switching ratio of the additional switch.

Four quasi-Z-Source inverters

2008 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2008
In this paper, theoretical results are shown for several novel inverters. These inverters are similar to the Z-source inverters presented in previous works, but have several advantages, including in some combination; lower component ratings, reduced source stress, reduced component count and simplified control strategies.

Simplified quasi‐Z source indirect matrix converter

International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2014
SummaryConventional matrix converters have a limited voltage gain less than 0.866 and also require many power switches and additional input filter that ensures a low input current harmonics to the grid. Quasi‐Z source (qZS) indirect matrix converter can provide high voltage gain and ensure a sinusoidal input current without additional input filter ...

PWAM controlled quasi-Z source motor drive

2017 IEEE 26th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2017
This paper proposes a novel pulse-width-amplitude-modulation (PWAM) method for three-phase quasi-Z source inverter system in motor drive application. It is demonstrated that it operates at only 1/3 switching frequency of traditional PWM methods, with less harmonic distortion.

A novel quasi‐Z‐source indirect matrix converter

International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2013
SummaryA new type of three‐phase quasi‐Z‐source indirect matrix converter (QZS‐IMC) is proposed in this paper. It uses a unique impedance network for achieving voltage‐boost capability and making the input current in continuous conduction mode (CCM) to eliminate the input filter.

New capacitor assisted quasi Z-source inverter

IECON 2017 - 43rd Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2017
In this paper, a new quasi Z-source inverter based on new capacitor basic units (CAQZSI) is proposed. It is possible to develop the proposed topology by using n numbers of the basic units that is one of the main advantages of the proposed CAQZSI. The boost factor equation, voltage and current equations of the capacitors, diodes and inductors are ...

Switched-Inductor Quasi-Z-Source Inverter

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2011
This paper deals with a new family of high boost voltage inverters called switched-inductor quasi-Z-source inverters (SL-qZSIs). The proposed SL-qZSI is based on the well-known qZSI topology and adds only one inductor and three diodes. In comparison to the SL-ZSI, for the same input and output voltages, the proposed SL-qZSI provides continuous input ...

Tapped inductor quasi-Z-source inverter

2012 Twenty-Seventh Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2012
This paper proposes a high inversion gain single stage boost inverter, which introduces a tapped inductor network into the traditional quasi-Z-source inverter (qZSI), called tapped inductor quasi-Z-source inverter (TL-qZSI). The tapped inductor network including one tapped inductor and two diodes and is used to replace one inductor of the traditional ...

A new topology for quasi-Z-source inverter

2015 30th International Power System Conference (PSC), 2015
In this paper, a new circuit is proposed for step-up Z-source inverter based on QZSI (quasi-Z-source inverter). The proposed topology inherits all advantages of the conventional topology. The proposed topology in comparison with conventional topology reduces the ST (Shoot-through) duty cycle by over 25% at the same voltage boost factor.

Improved performance of the switched inductor quasi Z-source inverter

2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS), 2016
This paper proposed the improvement of switched-inductor quasi-Z-source inverters (SL-qZSIs) with different control technique. SL-qZSIs adds only one inductor and three diodes as compare to the quasi z-source inverter but as compare to qZSI boost factor is high in SL-qZSI.
