Quasi-Elastic Neutron Scattering Studies on Hydration Water in Phospholipid Membranes

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2020
The dynamic behavior of hydration water in phospholipid membranes has been investigated to understand the relationship between water and biological molecules using various experimental techniques.

Translational Dynamics of Imidazolium-Based Ionic Liquids in Acetonitrile Solutions

open access: yesLiquids, 2023
The dynamics of pure ionic liquids and solutions with acetonitrile have been investigated through quasielastic neutron scattering (QENS). The translational diffusive motion of the 1-butyl-3-methyl-imidazolium cation was revealed as a function of ...

A note on quasielastic neutron scattering

open access: yesJournal de Physique I, 1994
We present a theorem that in coherent quasielastic neutron scattering on a confined and limited system of identical particles only the configuration-configuration correlations have to be examined without any hindsight on the distribution of the particles inside the configuration.

Disorder‐Driven Fast Na+ Transport: From Crystalline to Amorphous Networks in the Mixed‐Anion NaTaOxCl6−2x Oxychlorides

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen substitution in NaTaOxCl6‐2x drives structural evolution from isolated [TaCl6]– octahedra, through oxygen‐bridged [Ta2OCl10]2– dimers, toward extended trans‐[TaO2Cl4]3– chain‐like arrangements. At intermediate compositions, zero‐dimensional corner‐sharing motifs are proposed to create a flexible, disordered framework that peaks ionic ...

Magnetic fluctuations in frustrated Laves hydrides R(Mn_{1-x}Al_{x})_{2}H_{y}

open access: yes, 2003
By neutron scattering, we have studied the spin correlations and spin fluctuations in frustrated Laves hydrides, where magnetic disorder sets in the topologically frustrated Mn lattice. Below the transition towards short range magnetic order, static spin

Neutron tagging of quasielastic J/psi photoproduction off nucleus in ultraperipheral heavy ion collisions at RHIC energies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We compare the coherent and quasielastic J/psi photoproduction in the peripheral heavy ion collisions in kinematics of RHIC. Our improved estimate of the total coherent cross section is a factor of two smaller than the earlier ones.

Quasielastic scattering of slow-neutrons in water-alcohol solutions

open access: yesNuclear Physics and Atomic Energy, 2010
Research of molecules dynamics of solutions "water - propyl alcohol" of different concentration at the temperature 281 K is conducted by the method of slow-neutron quasi-elastic scattering. There were experimentally exposed the feature of effective self-diffusion coefficient of molecules of the indicated solutions. Based on the time-scale hierarchy the

Quasielastic Scattering of Thermal Neutrons by CH3OH and CH3SH [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 1969
We report measurements of the line broadening of thermal neutrons quasielastically scattered from room temperature methyl alcohol and methyl mercaptan in the liquid phase. The linewidths for CH3SH are found to be approximately twice those of CH3OH. This is interpreted to be additional evidence of the relative freedom of molecular motions and lack of ...

Interface Issues of Inorganic Solid‐State Electrolytes in Secondary Magnesium Batteries

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Solid‐state magnesium batteries (SSMBs) have gained significant attention as promising candidates for next‐generation safe energy storage systems because of the abundance of magnesium (Mg) in the earth's crust, superior energy density, and inherent nonflammability.
