Invariant measures for the box-ball system based on stationary Markov chains and periodic Gibbs measures

open access: yes, 2019
The box-ball system (BBS) is a simple model of soliton interaction introduced by Takahashi and Satsuma in the 1990s. Recent work of the authors, together with Tsuyoshi Kato and Satoshi Tsujimoto, derived various families of invariant measures for the BBS

Quasireversible magnetoresistance in exchange-spring tunnel junctions

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2008
We report a large, quasi-reversible tunnel magnetoresistance in exchange-biased ferromagnetic semiconductor tunnel junctions wherein a soft ferromagnetic semiconductor (\gma) is exchange coupled to a hard ferromagnetic metal (MnAs). Our observations are consistent with the formation of a region of inhomogeneous magnetization (an "exchange spring ...

Unveiling the Electrochemical Reversibility of Multielectron Redox in s‐Tetrazine Derivatives for Large‐Capacity Electrode Materials

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 24, December 13, 2025.
Peripheral 2‐pyridine rings delocalize charges by withdrawing electrons and, through Li‐ion coordination in the reduced state, lock the geometry of the s‐tetrazine core. This stabilization markedly enhances redox kinetics and Li‐ion diffusion, enabling electrochemically reversible two‐electron transfer of s‐tetrazine derivatives.

In Situ Electrochemistry of Buried Interfaces in Metal Halide Perovskites: Probing Energy Bands, Halide Redox Activity, and Kinetics

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 47, December 16, 2025.
Electrochemical processes assess energy level alignment, transport phenomena, and surface reactivity of multiple semiconductor interfaces under device‐relevant conditions. This tutorial and research perspective demonstrates the opportunity for rapid optimization of processing conditions and surface treatments, in the manufacturing of emerging metal ...

On the Convergence of Multiclass Queueing Networks in Heavy Traffic [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
The subject of this paper is the heavy traffic behavior of a general class of queueing networks with first-in-first-out (FIFO) service discipline. For special cases which require various assumptions on the network structure, several authors have proved ...

Determination of Paraquat in Real Samples Using a Printed PET‐Based Electrode Modified With Molecularly Imprinted Polymer and Carbonaceous Material

open access: yesElectroanalysis, Volume 37, Issue 12, December 2025.
This study reports the development of an electrochemical sensor printed with graphite‐based ink on a recycled PET substrate. The device was functionalized with a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) for the selective detection of paraquat in water, apple juice, and acerola juice samples, highlighting its ...

Electrode disorder, electrochemical processes and governing length scales [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Surface of a solid electrode ubiquitously possesses morphological and energetic disorders, and therefore it greatly influences their thermodynamics, kinetics and transport properties. Also, the anomalies in an electrochemical response are governed by the
