Quaternary modular summations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1974
A fundamental isometry in the theory of modular forms [1] is extended tc a quaternary generalization of the modular group. A quaternary number is an expression of the form d + iu + jb + kc where a, b, c, and d are real numbers. The sum of the quaternary number: dl + iu, + jb, + Kc, and d, + iu, + jb, + kc, is the quaternary number d+iu+jb+kc where u=u,+

Microglia limit brain tumor development by restricting tumor cell proliferation and inducing T‐cell immunity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Microglia (BV2) and IL‐4‐treated BMDMs promote astrocytoma clustering and inhibit tumor growth, not shown in other macrophage cells. In vivo, microglial co‐implantation enhances CD8+ T cell infiltration, elevates Granzyme B, lowers circulating MDSCs, and extends survival only in immune‐competent mice, but not in immune‐deficient mice.

Quaternary and Pre-Quaternary Crustal Movements

open access: yesThe Quaternary Research (Daiyonki-Kenkyu), 1968
The problem discussed in this paper is whether the crustal movements in the Japanese Islands changed in nature or rate during the transition from the Tertiary to the Quaternary periods. The Late Tertiary sedimentary basins gradually migrated under the control of the orogenic movements which had begun in the Early Miocene.

Characterization of ribosome heterogeneity during endothelial to hematopoietic transition

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The panorama of ribosome heterogeneity during embryonic hematopoiesis has not yet been portrayed. In this study, utilizing dual‐omics data, the heterogenous dynamic of ribosome during endothelial‐to‐hematopoietic transition has been systemically described. Moreover, stage‐specific upregulation and peripheral localization of RPL27 and RACK1 in hemogenic

Liver‐specific lncRNAs associated with liver cancers

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are regulatory molecules with various functions. They are more tissue‐specific than proteins and can be used as potential biomarkers, particularly in cancer diagnostics and prognosis. In this review, we have systematically compiled all lncRNAs with exclusive expression in the human liver, verified their liver specificity ...

The role of mites in the construction and weathering of siliceous biospeleothems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Speleology, 2018
Acarines are well-documented as formative elements in the biocenosis of soils. However, their role in the construction and weathering of siliceous speleothems has received very little attention in previous research.

Hydrogen peroxide and sodium hypochlorite disinfectants are more effective against Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms than quaternary ammonium compounds

open access: yesAntimicrobial Resistance and Infection Control, 2018
Antimicrobial disinfectants are used as primary treatment options against pathogens on surfaces in healthcare facilities to help prevent healthcare associated infections (HAIs).

Characterization of WAC interactions with R2TP and TTT chaperone complexes linking glucose and glutamine availability to mTORC1 activity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
TTT and R2TP chaperone complexes are required for the assembly and activation of mTORC1. WAC directly interacts with components of TTT, R2TP, and mTORC1, and these interactions are affected by the availability of glucose and glutamine, correlating with changes in mTORC1 activity.

High LRIG1 expression predicts lymph node metastasis in patients with uterine cervical cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Lymph node status is crucial in determining treatment for women with early‐stage cervical cancer. We demonstrate that high LRIG1 protein expression in primary tumors can predict lymph node metastases. Our findings support further investigation of LRIG1 as a biomarker to improve staging accuracy and guide treatment decisions in cervical cancer patients.
