Enhanced Thermal Durability and Efficiency of Organic Solar Cells via Selective Organic Electron Transport Layers

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
PDINN‐based organic solar cells exhibit strong thermal durability, maintaining high efficiency at 110°C, whereas PFN‐Br devices degrade rapidly. PDINN's stable interfacial interactions enhance charge transport and suppress recombination, emphasizing the key role of interfacial engineering in achieving thermally durable, high‐performance OSCs.

Developing a Suitable Anion Exchange Layer Structure for Pure–Water Fed Bipolar Membrane CO2 Electrolysis

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A porous anion exchange layer (AEL) is implemented in a forward‐biased bipolar membrane CO2 electrolyzer to suppress carbonate crossover, support CO2 regeneration and maintain cathode alkalinity. Two fabrication strategies are compared—deposition on a silver gas diffusion electrode (GDE) or on the CEM—showing that a porous AEL‐coated GDE provides the ...

Expanded Scorpionate and Siderophore‐Inspired Ligands: From Foundational Designs to Modern Applications

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
The concept of scorpionate ligands has evolved significantly since the introduction of tris(pyrazolyl)borate. By integrating a biological supramolecular ligand scaffold with the classic scorpionate architecture, researchers have made notable strides in mimicking the active sites of nitrogenase and advancing homogeneous catalysis.

Metal‐Free and Solvent‐Free CO2 Fixation Into Cyclic Carbonates Catalyzed by a Deferiprone‐Derived Bifunctional System

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A simple bifunctional organocatalyst derived from the FDA‐approved chelator deferiprone efficiently promotes CO2 fixation into cyclic carbonates. By combining epoxide activation and nucleophilic ring opening in a single scaffold, quantitative conversions are achieved under mild, metal‐free conditions. High activity, broad substrate scope, and excellent

Phase‐Transfer‐Catalyzed Interrupted Barton–Zard Reaction Between Electron‐Deficient Indoles and Benzophenone‐Derived Isocyanides

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A cascade reaction under phase‐transfer conditions between 3‐nitro indoles and isocyanomethylene dibenzenes affords the construction of pyrrolo[3,4‐b]indole cores. Control experiments provide insight into moderate product yields and clarify why the reaction is not amenable to asymmetric induction. A cascade reaction enabling the construction of pyrrolo[

Chemical Syntheses of 3′ and 5′ Phosphorylated Oligonucleotides: An Overview

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
This review provides an overview of the various chemical methods employed in the synthesis of oligonucleotides bearing a phosphate group at their 3′ or 5′ end. Notably, it presents modified phosphoramidites and supports developed for this purpose. Oligonucleotides (ON) with a phosphate monoester group at their 3′ or 5′ end have applications in many ...
