Quaternion Approach to the Measurement of the Local Birefringence Distribution in Optical Fibers
A method to structure the Jones quaternion utilizing Pauli matrices is proposed, improving the quaternion theory of polarization optics. It is proved that the Stokes quaternion is the double product of the Jones quaternion and its Hermitian transpose and

The global exponential stability of commutative quaternion-valued neural networks (CQVNNs) with time varying delays is investigated in this paper. Considering that the Schwartz triangle inequality is not satisfied in the commutative quaternion field, the

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

T-Eigenvalues of Third-Order Quaternion Tensors
In this paper, theories, algorithms and properties of eigenvalues of quaternion tensors via the t-product termed T-eigenvalues are explored. Firstly, we define the T-eigenvalue of quaternion tensors and provide an algorithm to compute the right T ...

Comparison of two SVD-based color image compression schemes. [PDF]
Color image compression is a commonly used process to represent image data as few bits as possible, which removes redundancy in the data while maintaining an appropriate level of quality for the user.

Probability density of determinants of random matrices
In this brief paper the probability density of a random real, complex and quaternion determinant is rederived using singular values. The behaviour of suitably rescaled random determinants is studied in the limit of infinite order of the ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Skew orthogonal polynomials for the real and quaternion real Ginibre ensembles and generalizations
There are some distinguished ensembles of non-Hermitian random matrices for which the joint PDF can be written down explicitly, is unchanged by rotations, and furthermore which have the property that the eigenvalues form a Pfaffian point process.

Relativistic Cholesky-decomposed density matrix MP2 [PDF]
In the present article, we introduce the relativistic Cholesky-decomposed density (CDD) matrix second-order M{\o}ller-Plesset perturbation theory (MP2) energies.
