The pyruvate generator, which causes activation of respiration by extra‐mitochondrial Ca2+, is also present and functional in rat brainstem mitochondria, as it is in other brain regions. This finding is confirmed by experiments with a fully reconstituted malate–aspartate shuttle (MAS).

Eigenvalue correlations in non-Hermitean symplectic random matrices
Correlation function of complex eigenvalues of N by N random matrices drawn from non-Hermitean random matrix ensemble of symplectic symmetry is given in terms of a quaternion determinant. Spectral properties of Gaussian ensembles are studied in detail in

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Static Attitude Determination Using Convolutional Neural Networks
The need to estimate the orientation between frames of reference is crucial in spacecraft navigation. Robust algorithms for this type of problem have been built by following algebraic approaches, but data-driven solutions are becoming more appealing due ...

Matrices, idealisers and integer quaternions
Let \(H\) be the ring of quaternions with integer coefficients and let \(n\) be an integer. Set \(T(n) = \left({H\atop H} {nH\atop H}\right)\). The following test problem was posed by the author [in Math. Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 105, No. 1, 67--72 (1989; Zbl 0668.16011)]. Is \(T(3)\) isomorphic to a full \((2,2)\)-matrix ring over some ring \(W\), and

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Some properties of complex quaternion and complex split quaternion matrices [PDF]
The aim of this study is to investigate some properties of complex quaternion and complex split quaternion matrices. To verify this, we use 2x2 complex matrix representation of these quaternions. Moreover, we present a method to find the determinant of complex quaternion and complex split quaternion matrices.
