Results of species hybridization with Quercus robur L and Quercus petraea (Matt) Liebl [PDF]

open access: yesannales des sciences forestières, 1993
Quercus robur and Quercus petraea can be crossbred. The hybridization rate is affected by the fact that Q robur is more easy fertilized with Q petraea pollen than vice versa, and the fact that individual incompatibilities hinder pollination.

Характеристика водного обмена листьев Quercus robur L. и Quercus rubra L. в чистых и смешанных группах

open access: yesAgricultural Science, 2017
The peculiarities of water metabolism of the leaves of English oak (Quercus robur L.) and red oak (Quercus rubra L.) in pure and mixed groups were examined. Twelve-year-old forest plantations of both species on an area of 1.6 ha were the object of study.

Plant diversity of selected Quercus robur L. and Quercus petraea (Matt.) Liebl. forests in Slovenia

open access: yes, 2006
In Slovenia, the plant species diversity on 225 research plots dominated by pedunculate oak (Quercus robur L.) and by sessile oak (Quercus petraea (Matt.) Liebl.) has been analysed. Plots of Q. robur are located in five, andplots of Q.

Inheritance of Isozymes in Pedunculate Oak (Quercus robur L.) [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Heredity, 1996
Fourteen full-sib families of pedunculate oak (Quercus robur L.) were utilized in order to study the segregation of isozymes and to verify their mode of inheritance. Based on standard gel electrophoresis and isoelectric focusing, a total of 12 enzymes systems were analyzed in seeds, radicles (germinated seeds) and bud tissue. Tissue-specific expression

open access: yes, 2021
Aims. Analysis of tree genetic polymorphism at four nSSR loci in two highland populations of Quercus robur L. in Donetskiy Kryazh. Methods. To determine plant genotype, we used electrophoretic analysis in polyacrylamide gel of PCR-products of four nSSR loci. Results. There were detected 2 to 9 (total 24) alleles at the investigated loci.

Comparative Studies on Leaf Micromorphology of the Abaxial Surface of Quercus robur L. subsp. robur and Quercus robur L. subsp. pedunculiflora (K. KOCH) MENITSKY

open access: yesActa Silvatica et Lignaria Hungarica, 2023
This study examined micromorphological traits on the abaxial surface of leaves using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) to compare pedunculate oak and greyish oak taxa close-up. We selected a pedunculate oak population in Hungary and greyish oak population in Romania.
