Scripting Relational Database Engine Using Transducer [PDF]
We allow database user to script a parallel relational database engine with a procedural language. Procedural language code is executed as a user defined relational query operator called transducer. Transducer is tightly integrated with relation engine, including query optimizer, query executor and can be executed in parallel like other query operators.

Objective This study aimed to identify the top 10 international research priorities for musculoskeletal health of people with generalized joint hypermobility. Methods A three‐round Delphi method using an online survey was implemented. Three participant stakeholder groups were eligible for inclusion: (1) people with lived experience of joint ...

Design of an intermediate representation for query languages [PDF]
Data oriented applications, usually written in a high-level, general-purpose programming language (such as Java) interact with database through a coarse interface. Informally, the text of a query is built on the application side (either via plain string concatenation or through an abstract notion of statement) and shipped to the database over the wire ...

Query shredding: Efficient relational evaluation of queries over nested multisets (extended version) [PDF]
Nested relational query languages have been explored extensively, and underlie industrial language-integrated query systems such as Microsoft's LINQ. However, relational databases do not natively support nested collections in query results. This can lead to major performance problems: if programmers write queries that yield nested results, then such ...

Objective Posttraumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) accounts for nearly 12% of osteoarthritis incidences and often occurs after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear. Ensuring the uptake of preventive treatments for PTOA requires that investigators and clinicians understand factors influencing patients to seek preventive therapies.

Objective Patients with knee osteoarthritis (KOA) rely on symptomatic treatments where up to 75% of the pain reduction can be attributed to the placebo effect. This effect may vary based on treatment type (e.g., biologics vs. non‐biologic injection) and route of administration (e.g., intra‐articular vs. topical vs. oral).

Typing Regular Path Query Languages for Data Graphs [PDF]
Regular path query languages for data graphs are essentially \emph{untyped}. The lack of type information greatly limits the optimization opportunities for query engines and makes application development more complex. In this paper we discuss a simple, yet expressive, schema language for edge-labelled data graphs. This schema language is, then, used to
