Psychiatric Complications with Chloroquine and Quinacrine
American Journal of Psychiatry, 1968Quinacrine and chloroquine are being used increasingly in the United States in the treatment of malaria and as an anti-inflammatory agent. In the two cases reported here, quinacrine was administered within the normal therapeutic range and toxic psychoses resulted. Chloroquine produces similar conditions.
