The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Quiver Yangian algebras associated to Dynkin diagrams of A-type and their rectangular representations

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The connection between simple Lie algebras and their Yangian algebras has a long history. In this work, we construct finite-dimensional representations of Yangian algebras Y s l n $$ \textrm{Y}\left(\mathfrak{s}{\mathfrak{l}}_n\right) $$ using the quiver

Crystals and double quiver algebras from Jeffrey-Kirwan residues

open access: yesSciPost Physics
We construct statistical mechanical models of crystal melting describing the flavoured Witten indices of $\mathcal{N}≥ 2$ supersymmetric quiver gauge theories.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Flat covers of representations of the quiver A∞

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2003
Rooted quivers are quivers that do not contain A∞≡⋯→•→• as a subquiver. The existence of flat covers and cotorsion envelopes for representations of these quivers have been studied by Enochs et al.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Geometry of Multiplicative Preprojective Algebra

open access: yes, 2007
Crawley-Boevey and Shaw recently introduced a certain multiplicative analogue of the deformed preprojective algebra, which they called the multiplicative preprojective algebra.

Rings of invariants for representations of quivers

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique, 2004
In this Note we compute the generators of the ring of invariants for quiver factorization problems, generalizing results of Le Bruyn and Procesi. In particular, we find a necessary and sufficient combinatorial criterion for the projectivity of the associated invariant quotients.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Harder–Narasimhan filtrations of persistence modules

open access: yesTransactions of the London Mathematical Society
The Harder–Narasimhan (HN) type of a quiver representation is a discrete invariant parameterised by a real‐valued function (called a central charge) defined on the vertices of the quiver.
