Hypernetted chain calculations for two-component plasmas
We have performed HNC calculations for dense beryllium plasma as studied experimentally using x-ray Thomson scattering, recently. We treated non-equilibrium situations with different electron and ion temperatures which are relevant in pump-probe ...

Reactive quenching of electronically excited NO2∗ and NO3∗ by H2O as potential sources of atmospheric HOx radicals [PDF]
Pulsed laser excitation of NO2 (532–647 nm) or NO3 (623–662 nm) in the presence of H2O was used to initiate the gas-phase reaction NO2∗ + H2O → products (Reaction R5) and NO3∗ + H2O → products (Reaction ...

Investigation of dense manifold of particle-hole excitations in metallic nanowires using r12-correlated frequency-dependent electron-hole interaction kernel [PDF]
Low-lying electronically excited states in metallic and semiconductor nanoparticles continue to be actively investigated because of their relevance in a wide variety of technological applications. However, first-principles electronic structure calculations on metallic and semiconductor nanoparticles are computationally challenging due to factors such ...

Farmer selection of drought‐tolerant enset landraces reduces trait diversity in drier environments
Drought stress poses a growing threat to food security worldwide. In this study, we investigated the putative drought tolerance traits of enset, a multipurpose staple crop endemic to Ethiopia that sustains over 20 million people. Our findings reveal that enset's domestication has reduced landrace diversity and trait variability, particularly in drier ...

Unusual quantum phase in exactly solvable doubly decorated Ising-Heisenberg models [PDF]
Ground-state properties of the spin-1/2 and spin-1 Ising-Heisenberg model on doubly decorated planar lattices, are investigated in detail. On the basis of the mapping transformation method, we prove an existence of unusual quantum phases which occur due to the competition between Ising-type and XXZ anizotropic Heisenberg-type interactions.

ABSTRACT We investigate why and how businesses and entrepreneurs adopt and implement blockchain technology to improve the economic, environmental and social sustainability of seafood supply chains. We conduct interviews with entrepreneurs and small‐ to medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) – specifically fishers, aquaculturists and restaurants – using new ...

Factorization of exclusive electroinduced two-nucleon knockout [PDF]
We investigate the factorization properties of the exclusive electroinduced two-nucleon knockout reaction $A(e,e'pN)$. A factorized expression for the cross section is derived and the conditions for factorization are studied.

Tensile performance of inclined adhesive anchors in steel fiber‐reinforced concrete
Abstract In almost all studies on post‐installed anchors in concrete, the anchor direction is perpendicular to the concrete surface. However, the anchor direction may not be perpendicular to the concrete surface due to application errors or requirements.

Ethyl 4-(4-chloroanilino)-1-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-methyl-5-oxo-2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylate
In the title compound, C20H18Cl2N2O3, the dihedral angles between the central 2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrole ring and the phenyl rings are 74.87 (9) and 29.09 (9)°. Intramolecular N—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonds occur.
