Perspective of monochromatic gamma-ray line detection with the High Energy cosmic-Radiation Detection (HERD) facility onboard China's Space Station

open access: yes, 2016
HERD is the High Energy cosmic-Radiation Detection instrument proposed to operate onboard China's space station in the 2020s. It is designed to detect energetic cosmic ray nuclei, leptons and photons with a high energy resolution ($\sim1\%$ for electrons

Genetic Differentiation in the SdhC Subunit Confers Intrinsic Resistance to SDHI Fungicides in Fusarium asiaticum

open access: yesMolecular Plant Pathology, Volume 27, Issue 5, May 2026.
In Fusarium asiaticum, two homologous SdhC subunits (FaSdhC1/C2) regulate sensitivity to SDHI fungicides: deletion of FaSDHC1 decreases sensitivity, while deletion of FaSDHC2 increases it. Multiple mutations in ΔFaSDHC2 confer resistance to SDHI fungicides.

Study of a Novel Bi‐Layered Thermoplastic Polyurethane Patch for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 7, 7 April 2026.
Large congenital diaphragmatic hernia remains a challenge due to the poor compatibility of current prostheses. To tackle this problem, a bilayer thermoplastic polyurethane patch with tunable mechanical properties is engineered, whose fibrous side supports rapid fibroblast and myoblast colonization, while the smooth film limits adhesions.

Integrating contextual determinants and polygenic risk to examine dementia and late‐life cognition in the Multi‐Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Alzheimer's disease and related dementias are influenced by genetic and environmental risk factors. We investigated the relationship between contextual exposures and cognitive outcomes, independent of and in interaction with polygenic risk.

The role of fixed scalars in scattering off a 5D black hole

open access: yes, 1997
We discuss the role of fixed scalars($\nu,\lambda$) in scattering off a five-dimensional balck hole. The issue is to explain the disagreement of the greybody factor for $\lambda$ between the semiclassical and effective string calculations.

Electronic Health Records to Test Multimorbidity Influences to Plasma Biomarker Interpretation for Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, Volume 99, Issue 4, Page 1030-1045, April 2026.
Objective Plasma biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathology are frequently tested in specialized research settings, which limits the generalizability of findings. Using electronic health records and banked plasma, we evaluated plasma biomarkers—phosphorylated tau 217 (p‐tau217), β‐amyloid 1–42/1–40 (Aβ42/Aβ40) and p‐tau217/Aβ42—in a real‐world ...
