Allotetraploid nature of a wild potato species, Solanum stoloniferum Schlechtd. et Bché., as revealed by whole‐genome sequencing

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 121, Issue 1, January 2025.
SUMMARY Mexican wild diploid potato species are reproductively isolated from A‐genome species, including cultivated potatoes; thus, their genomic relationships remain unknown. Solanum stoloniferum Schlechtd. et Bché. (2n = 4x = 48, AABB) is a Mexican allotetraploid species frequently used in potato breeding.

InDel variations and gene expression analysis related to Fusarium wilt resistance in Gossypium barbadense

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 64, Issue 6, Page 3112-3125, November/December 2024.
Abstract Fusarium wilt resistance of Gossypium barbadense is very important to maintain its yield and quality, and to disease resistance breeding. Although many individual genes, which are quantitative trait loci associated with wilt resistance have been identified, knowledge of genes controlling wilt resistance in G. barbadense is still limited.

Doppler imaging and surface differential rotation of young open cluster stars - I. HD 307938 (R58) in IC 2602 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper we present Doppler images of a young active G dwarf (HD 307938) in the southern open cluster IC 2602. Spectroscopic data were obtained over a four-night period in 2000 January at the 3.9-m Anglo-Australian Telescope using the University ...

Influence of amount and delay of reward on choice and response rate: A free‐operant, multiple‐schedule analogue of a discrete‐trial procedure

open access: yesJournal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior, Volume 122, Issue 3, Page 259-269, November 2024.
Abstract The current study explored a free‐operant analogue of discrete‐trial procedures to study the effects of amount and delay of reinforcement on choice and response rate. Rats responded on a multiple variable‐interval (VI) 45‐s, 45‐s schedule, with interspersed choice probe trials.
