Exact Solvability of the two-photon Rabi Hamiltonian [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Exact spectrum of the two-photon Rabi Hamiltonian is found, proceeding in full analogy with the solution of standard (one-photon) Rabi Hamiltonian, published by Braak in Phys. Rev. Lett. 107, 100401 (2011). The Hamiltonian is rewritten as a set of two differential equations. Symmetries that get hidden after further treatment are found.

Benefit or ecological trap? Monitoring the effects of small clear‐cuts on capercaillie Tetrao urogallus and its mammalian predators

open access: yesWildlife Biology, EarlyView.
The shift to ‘close to nature forestry' as the dominating forestry regime in western‐European forests has resulted in increasing timber volume and denser forests with negative effects on photophilic species. Hence, there is an increasing focus on active habitat management measures to support these species.

Rabies in Kazakhstan

open access: yesPLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases, 2016
Rabies is a neglected zoonotic disease. There is a sparsity of data on this disease with regard to the incidence of human and animal disease in many low and middle income countries. Furthermore, rabies results in a large economic impact and a high human burden of disease.

Immunological In Vitro Assay for Quantification of Adjuvanted Allergoids

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
An assay was developed to measure the allergoid content in adjuvanted grass allergoid AIT drug product (AIT‐DPs) at the finished product level. Both polyclonal rabbit sera or a mouse anti‐Phl p 5 mAb can be used, allowing differential product analysis.

Resistance to Rabies [PDF]

open access: yesThe American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, 2012
Rabies is rapidly progressive, an almost universally fatal encephalitis caused by lyssaviruses, most notably rabies virus. Canine rabies is estimated to kill about 55,000 persons annually in Africa and Asia alone1; for different reasons, rabies is newly emerging in China, the former Soviet Republics, southern Africa, and Central and South America ...
