Developmentally regulated GTP-binding protein 2 is required for stabilization of Rac1-positive membrane tubules

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2017
Previously we have reported that developmentally regulated GTP-binding protein 2 (DRG2) localizes on Rab5 endosomes and plays an important role in transferrin (Tfn) recycling. We here identified DRG2 as a key regulator of membrane tubule stability.

Gene expression of the small GTP-binding proteins RhoA, RhoB, Rac1, and Cdc42 in adult rat brain

Molecular Brain Research, 1997
GTPases of the Rho subfamily, i.e. Rho, Rac and Cdc42, are molecular switches in various signaling pathways. Best characterized are their functions in the regulation of the actin cytoskeleton. In neuronal cell lines they are involved in the mechanisms leading to synapse formation and plasticity.

Distribution of the small molecular weight GTP-binding proteins Rac1, Cdc42, RhoA and RhoB in the developing chick retina

Journal of Neurocytology, 2002
Immunohistochemistry was used to determine the distribution of Rac1, Cdc42, RhoA and RhoB GTPases during development of the chick retina. All proteins appear as early as embryonic day 5 (E5) in cells of the vitreal margin, E7-8 in cells of the inner third of the inner nuclear layer and E9-10 in photoreceptors.
