The Female‐Responsive Mentoring Model: A Constructivist Grounded Theory

open access: yesCounselor Education and Supervision, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Researchers used constructivist grounded theory within a feminist standpoint theory framework to examine female counselor educators’ (n = 15) mentorship experiences throughout their academic careers. Findings yielded a feminist, process‐centered model for mentoring female counselor educators (FRMM) that emphasizes relational and holistic ...

Unique Tournaments and Radar Tracking [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2007
The sequence counting the number of unique tournaments with n people is the same as the sequence counting non-tracking binary strings corresponding to n-2 radar observations with the tracking rule "3 out of 5 with loss 2." This fact allows us to build a bijection between unique tournaments and non-tracking binary strings.

Geological and geotechnical challenges on the Great Dyke of Zimbabwe and their impact on hardrock pillar design

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
The Great Dyke of Zimbabwe is notable for its rich platinum group metal deposits but poses significant geological and geotechnical challenges due to its complex rock types and structural features. Traditional pillar design methods are insufficient for addressing these complexities; the study suggests incorporating advanced techniques such as machine ...

Satellite height determination using satellite-to-satellite tracking and ground laser systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1972
An attempt was made to use GEOS-C spacecraft height, as measured by the onboard radar altimeter, for an improved determination of the earth's gravitational field and for the determination of the variation of the physical surface of the oceans.

Characterization of Pressure Pulsation Propagation in a Pump‐Turbine Based on the Same‐Frequency Tracking Method

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pressure pulsation is a key factor affecting the safe and stable operation of pump‐turbines. This article is based on same frequency‐tracking method on the pressure pulsation propagation characteristics of pump‐turbine during generation mode. The numerical simulation is validated by experimental study on a model pump‐turbine.

Recommendations for built marine infrastructure that supports natural habitats

open access: yesFrontiers in Ecology and the Environment, EarlyView.
The extent of built marine infrastructure—from energy infrastructure and ports to artificial reefs and aquaculture—is increasing globally. The rise in built structure coverage is concurrent with losses and degradation of many natural habitats. Although historically associated with net negative impacts on natural systems, built infrastructure—with ...
