Voltage Stability Analysis of Radial Distribution Networks with Distributed Generation

open access: yesInternational Journal on Electrical Engineering and Informatics, 2014
This paper presents voltage stability analysis of radial distribution networks in the presence of distributed generation. The analysis is accomplished using a voltage stability index which can be evaluated at each node of the distribution system. The location of DG has the main effect voltage stability on the system.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Combinatorial Synthesis of Next Generation Water‐Soluble Quaternized N‐Halamine Oligomers with Long‐Lasting Antiviral Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A combinatorial library of dual‐functional antiviral oligomers incorporating N‐halamine and quaternary ammonium functionalities is developed for long‐lasting antiviral activity. The lead materials exhibit rapid and durable antiviral activity against SARS‐CoV‐2 variants and influenza H1N1, with 4 to 5 log reduction in viral copies at 5 mg mL−1 ...

Impact of loading capability on optimal location of renewable energy systems distribution networks

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal
A distribution system's network reconfiguration is the process of altering the open/closed status of sectionalizing and tie switches to change the topological structure of distribution feeders.

Identification of Optimal Path Through Network Reconfiguration in Distribution System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Network Reconfiguration is basically the changing the topological structure of the tie and sectionalizing switches. Distribution Networks are operated either in meshed or in radial configuration.

Propagation in 3D spiral-arm cosmic-ray source distribution models and secondary particle production using PICARD

open access: yes, 2015
We study the impact of possible spiral-arm distributions of Galactic cosmic-ray sources on the flux of various cosmic-ray nuclei throughout our Galaxy. We investigate model cosmic-ray spectra at the nominal position of the sun and at different positions ...

Flexibility and Dynamicity Enhances and Controls Supramolecular Self‐Assembly of Zinc(II) Metallogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Zinc(II) coordination complexes with tunable aryloxy‐imine ligands exhibit controllable supramolecular self‐assembly into hierarchical fibrous structures. Coordination‐driven stacking, not π–π interactions, enables gelation, dynamic assembly/disassembly, and enhanced nanomechanical properties.

Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Joint Distributed Generation Maximization and Radial Distribution Network Reconfiguration

open access: yes
This paper studies an optimization problem for joint radial distribution system network reconfiguration and power dispatch for distributed generation (DG) maximization. We provide counterexamples to show that for DG maximization, standard techniques such as interior point method (as in Matpower), linear approximation and second order cone relaxation (e.

Distributed Generation Placement in Radial Distribution Networks using a Bat-inspired Algorithm

open access: yesDYNA, 2015
<p>Distributed generation (DG) is an important issue for distribution networks due to the improvement in power losses, but the location and size of generators could be a difficult task for exact techniques. The metaheuristic techniques have become a better option to determine good solutions and in this paper the application of a bat-inspired ...
