Immunogobulins and Thermal Burns Infections

open access: yesIndian Journal of Plastic Surgery, 1987
Burns patients have higher susceptibility to infections, causes of which are many fold. Leakage of immunoglobulins in blister fluid is one of them. The present work was undertaken to find out the relationship between the types of infections and the ...

Retrospective cohort study on diseases and risk factors associated with death in hospitalized neonatal foals

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Volume 39, Issue 1, January/February 2025.
Abstract Background The care of sick neonatal foals is labor‐intensive and costly. Prediction of risk of death upon admission is often difficult but might support decision‐making. Objectives To determine diseases and risk factors associated with death in neonatal hospitalized foals.

The frequency of IgG subclass deficiency in children with recurrent respiratory infections

open access: yesThe Turkish Journal of Pediatrics, 1996
We studied the frequency of IgG subclass deficiency in 61 children (ages 1-7 years, mean 3.8 years) with recurrent respiratory tract infections by using the radial immunodiffusion method.

Brix Refractometry of Colostrum from Primiparous Dairy Cows and New-Born Calf Blood Serum in the Evaluation of Failure of Passive Transfer

open access: yesActa Veterinaria, 2017
Failure of passive transfer (FPT) of immunoglobulins (IgG) is associated with increased morbidity and mortality of calves. In this study we evaluated the digital Brix refractometer usefulness for the assessment of FPT.

Comparison of commercial kits for apoprotein A-I and apoprotein B with standardized apoprotein A-I and B radioimmunoassays performed at the Northwest Lipid Research Center.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1988
There has recently been a proliferation of commercial kits available for apoproteins A-I and B. Since reference procedures for apoproteins have not yet been established we have elected to compare apoprotein kit methods with highly standardized apoprotein

Acute Inflammatory Demyelinating Neuropathy : Immunoglobulin And Immune Complex Profile

open access: yesAnnals of Indian Academy of Neurology, 2003
Serum immunoglobulins (IgG, IgA and IgM) and immune complexes IgG (IcG) were measured in 58 cases of acute inflammatory demyelinating neuropathy, popularly known as Guillian Barre′ syndrome, and in 30 healthy controls using single radial ...

Immunochemical Quantitation of Pig Transferrin by Single Radial Immunodiffusion

open access: yesActa Veterinaria Scandinavica, 1975
A system has been developed for immunochemical determination of pig transferrin. Direct comparison of immunological values with chemical values showed that monovalent rabbit anti-pig serum transferrin is suitable for the immunological estimation of iron binding protein in swine.
