Asymptotic Solutions of Serial Radial Fuel Shuffling [PDF]
In this paper, the mechanism of traveling wave reactors (TWRs) is investigated from the mathematical physics point of view, in which a stationary fission wave is formed by radial fuel drifting. A two dimensional cylindrically symmetric core is considered and the fuel is assumed to drift radially according to a continuous fuel shuffling scheme.

This paper deals with the study of the following class of hemivariational inequalities: find \(u\in H^1(\mathbb R^N)\) such that \[ \int_{\mathbb R^N}(\nabla u\nabla w+uw)dx+\int_{\mathbb R^N}F^0_x(x,u(x);-w(x))dx\geq 0, \] for all \(w\in H^1(\mathbb R^N)\), where \(F^0\) stands for the generalized directional derivative in the sense of Clarke.

Biophysical characterisation shows that NanX, a membrane transport protein from the major facilitator superfamily (MFS), forms both monomers and dimers after purification.
