Blade row interaction in radial turbomachines [PDF]
A computational study has been performed to investigate the effects of blade row interaction on the performance of radial turbomachines, which was motivated by the need to improve our understanding of the blade row interaction phenomena for further ...

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Existence of solutions for semilinear problems on exterior domains
In this article we prove the existence of an infinite number of radial solutions to $\Delta u+K(r)f(u)=0$ on $\mathbb{R}^{N}$ such that $\lim_{r \to \infty} u(r)=0$ with prescribed number of zeros on the exterior of the ball of radius R>0 where f ...

The radial oscillation of solutions to ode's in the complex domain [PDF]
We prove three results concerning the oscillation near a ray of solutions to (*)w″ + Aw = 0, where A is an entire function. The first result assumes that A is a polynomial and gives an upper bound on the number of its real zeros if (*) admits a solution with only real zeros and infinitely many.

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

In this article we prove the existence of an infinite number of radial solutions to $\Delta u+K(r)f(u)=0$ with a nonlinear boundary condition on the exterior of the ball of radius R centered at the origin in $\mathbb{R}^{N}$ such that $\lim_{r \to ...

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Verapamil plus nitroglycerin solution maximally preserves endothelial function of the radial artery: Comparison with papaverine solution [PDF]
Background: Endothelium plays a key role in graft patency. My colleagues and I have developed a verapamil+nitroglycerin solution (balanced to pH 7.4) to prepare the radial artery without mechanical distention or dilation and have reported the efficacy of
