Solution‐processed Cu(bdc) forms prototypical MOF thin films for which a multitude of not fully satisfactory structural models have been suggested. Combining rotating grazing‐incidence diffraction and X‐ray reflectivity on two complementary samples with density‐functional theory, we first discard the previously suggested models and then identify a non ...

Uniqueness and radial symmetry for an inverse elliptic equation
We consider an inverse rearrangement semilinear partial differential equation in a 2-dimensional ball and show that it has a unique maximizing energy solution. The solution represents a confined steady flow containing a vortex and passing over a seamount.

Symmetry Reductions and Group-Invariant Radial Solutions to the n-Dimensional Wave Equation
In this paper, we derive explicit group-invariant radial solutions to a class of wave equation via symmetry group method. The optimal systems of one-dimensional subalgebras for the corresponding radial wave equation are presented in terms of the known ...

Terminal groups on Cu porphyrins modulate the electronic states of single‐atom Cu centers through a long‐range electronic effect, without altering the Cu coordination geometry. Meanwhile, a multi‐descriptor framework is established that incorporates porphyrin regulation, hybrid catalyst properties, and CO2 photoreduction capabilities.

Single‐crystal gold microplates are high‐performance nanomaterials with an impressive wafer‐based application space. Progress has, however, been tempered by an inability to exert synthetic control over microplate size, shape, and positioning. In this work, control over these parameters is demonstrated using a seed‐mediated synthesis that both confines ...

Radial symmetry and fractional p-Laplacian equation
Abstract In this paper we deal with the topic in two parts. First, we are interested in discussing whether $$ \theta _{1} \in \mathbb {S}_{\mathcal {H}}^{\varpi ; \psi }\left( \Omega \right) $$

Testing for Bivariate Spherical Symmetry
An omnibus test for spherical symmetry in R2 is proposed, employing localized empirical likelihood. The thus obtained test statistic is distri- bution-free under the null hypothesis. The asymptotic null distribution is established and critical values for

Radial symmetry of positive solutions of cooperative elliptic systems
Neste trabalho estudamos a questão de simetria de soluções positivas de equações e sistemas de equações diferenciais parciais. Descrevemos em detalhe a demonstração de dois resultados sobre simetria radial, um para equações em domínios limitados e outro ...

Chiral Phase Change Nanomaterials
This work demonstrates reversible, non‐volatile phase transitions in chiral Ge2${\rm Ge}_2$Sb2${\rm Sb}_2$Te5${\rm Te}_5$ (GST) nanohelices for high‐speed optical modulation of chirality and dynamic control of the state of polarization (SOP). The chiral nanostructures are fabricated using a highly directional, wafer‐scale physical vapor deposition ...

Shape of extremal functions for weighted Sobolev-type inequalities
We study the shape of solutions to certain variational problems in Sobolev spaces with weights that are powers of ∣x∣| x| . In particular, we detect situations when the extremal functions lack symmetry properties such as radial symmetry and antisymmetry.
